Peashooter stainless steel braided brake hose parts reference
I'm no longer selling the braided brake hoses since the manufacturer has become unreliable with ship dates and parts availability. Since many folks still would like the option of getting braided stainless steel brake hoses, I've put...
Yeah they are the real deal not the "military style" ones. I think this brand is the main producer of nato cans for the militaries
I started buying any nato can I could find over the last few years after getting fed up with the new plastic CARB approved ones that do spill all over and pour...
I saw these a while back at my local Fleet Farm store where I had been getting genuine Nato fuel cans until they recently ran out. I think these NATO fuel cans have been unavailable in most states for years now because they didn't have any CARB compliant "spill/vapor/whatever proof" nozzles...
Arent there 2 different throwout bearings available for these trucks? I thought i once read that, a cheaper one with fewer balls and a pricier one with more?
Cool I just saw this set up now for the first time. Have you gotten many miles on the truck to try this mod out? Is there any downside or potential for a grease mess in the bell housing?
That would be awesome! I'd love to go to this. I can think of a few other local members that would probably be also. I've wanted to check out DriveATank since you guys started up!
Good question, I'm not really sure. The tank is NSN: 2530-01-562-4624, the ebay description says its 9"x23" so that would make it about 6 gallons...... I'm not really sure what the stock size tanks are off hand.
I haven't given my truck much attention lately but I have been following "LINO" and his well done projects. One of his upcoming projects is to install a higher output air compressor (double the output) and extra air tank. His info on this starts HERE.
So with the idea and info from LINO, I...
Tom if there is no rust, no missing teeth and no chipping on 1st/rev slider & smooth bearings like you mention, Can he possibly just replace the replace the main shaft with the transmission still in the truck? I'd think he could get a main shaft pretty easily from a dealer or member.
You could go with different mrap wheels on the front such as the 20 bolt steel ones (Faithtire -member FTS0627 has inexpensive ones). Those MRAP wheels have less backspacing so they would stick out further than the rest of the MRAP wheels. Another option is PLS wheels (even less backspacing yet...
Kblazer87 is right on. The adapters I sell are 1/2" thick so I'd be comfortable putting them on either side of the wheel assuming they would physically fit (although I do prefer them on the dish side since its less stress on parts).
The adapters I sell are 15.5" diameter, so just see if that...
Pretty sure I just used Mcmaster.com part number 5283K12 when I did mine..... I love mcmaster! They have the injector return line fittings too.

there are some really cool ones out there. Some of my favorite ones are from member Unclemikey. He has some pictures of his deuce "camper apocolypto" and there are some neat pics of the 5 ton he did also...
There are a couple different steel Mrap versions, I think the 12 bolt steel ones are the heaviest. There are 3 different commonly found aluminum Mrap wheels and a couple more uncommon ones. I don't know numbers off the top of my head but the lightest aluminum Mrap rim is nearly 100 lbs lighter...
some mrap wheels are aluminum, some mrap wheels are steel. My truck has the steel MRAP wheels. Easiest way to tell if they are Mrap wheels that will fit a deuce is if they have an 11" center hole.
