    Multiple projects on the Deuce

No they are completely different designs and mount in different positions and directions. The only way to make a dual circuit master cylinder fit is with a different bracket. This goes for both the M35a3 setup, Dual circuit A2 setup, and the various custom hydroboost/hydromax setups.

    Multiple projects on the Deuce

Hi Mike, yes I have seen a member do this before and thought it was a good idea assuming you have the tools and skills to make the modifications. HERE is a thread that shows what was done. Currently the only really tricky part to find to do a dual circuit brake conversion is the master...

    Identifying tires/rims

It would be nice to have an identical spare to your other 6 tires. But just in case you didn't know, since you have lockouts on the front and Middle axle, you DON'T NEED to get a spare that's the exact same size as the rest. If you replace a front steer tire, just make sure the hubs are unlocked...

Speedometer sending unit adapter for 395/85R20 tires

I just saw some of the 3010-00-740-9623 correct ratio adapters on ebay but they were $99. If you are willing to spend $70 on an an add on conversion kit, then its probably worth spending a bit more for the correct ratio original style adapter thats a direct swap.

M35a3 steering pressure relief valve adjustment help!

Yep its just a regulator, the only thing special about it is they have a machined aluminum cap that screws on to cover the adjustment knob. I removed my regulator for a year but then added an 80 psi non adjustable one again to conserve air since im pretty awful at backing up with my m105 trailer...

why three air lock dash switches

Dont they use one of those air switches on trucks with the deep water fording kit installed also?

Oil seal mod. for 3053 input shaft

Looks like a good plan steve, should be way more cost effective than a 1 piece billet part. What is your expected sale price for this?

Parking brake-- Do I need it?

I know this isn't directly related to the original post but when I first got my truck it had a frozen parking brake cable but the previous owner gave me a new cable. The original cable had a grease fitting on it (apparently is wasn't used much), but the new replacement cables do not. Same thing...

    PEASHOOTER's M109A3 CAMPER Build Thread

I should have talked with you before I started this aluminum project! I do like the Zinc-Chromate in a can but its not always easy to find it for under $10 a can. When I can find it, I buy a few cans of it but lately its been $20+ each which is why I went the Alodine route. I could only find...

    PEASHOOTER's M109A3 CAMPER Build Thread

I think I just got them from Amazon. They are made by Stanley/POP rivet, the part number was MPA-6, and I think they were about $30 for a bag of 500. Once you are done installing the blind/POP rivets, you can just hammer these things into them and it makes it look like a solid rivet. I added a...

    PEASHOOTER's M109A3 CAMPER Build Thread

While reading about Alodine and general prep of aluminum, it seems that the aircraft guys were the experts on it and I saw lots of references to "Aircraft Spruce". That company also appeared to have one of the best prices and didn't charge the hazardous shipping add on that a lot of other places...

    Transmission issue

Isnt $400 a lot for a used take out transmission, or is that about what they go for most places? They are about $200 around here but maybe its a supply & demand thing?

HanksDeuce - Installing an Ouverson Locker in your Rockwell Axle

Thanks for your effort on doing this write up Hank! I always was curious about how lockers were installed. I really appreciate it when people like yourself do all the extra work of taking nice pictures while doing the job and then taking the time afterwards to explain it in a nice write up...

    PEASHOOTER's M109A3 CAMPER Build Thread

Here are some pics of how I finished up the truck for the year. I ended up getting the passenger side and rear skins replaced and decided that was good enough for this year. I'll finish up the drivers side in the spring (hopefully) and then re-insulate the walls and probably end up repainting...

1078 in or around Minneapolis mn?

I don't see many of those around here. But then again lots of people that probably have them also don't post much or at all on SS. I just checked craigslist for "Stevenson" and saw one in Winsted MN. You could check out iron planet also and see if any are up for auction at Camp Ripley in Little...

    Transmission issue

I had this issue with a toole depot rebuilt transmission that I suspect had something dropped on the top and it jammed a couple gears in place. I took the top off as you had done and couldnt get anything to budge with my prying and rubber mallet and I didnt want to get any more forcefull with...

Murphy and the Rear Main Seal

sounds like we need to get that transmission input seal project rolling again from Jeep sinker. I dont know if the vent cap on the transmission can cause issues like the same vent cap will do (if plugged) to the axles and xfer case but you might as well check that also when its accessible. I...

    new rig

Congrats on your new truck! You don't need to flip hubs to put MRAP wheels/tires on the rear, you just mount the wheels onto the hubs backwards (with the dish side facing out, just like the stock outer duallie wheels are). But its certainly a good idea to take the hubs off and see the condition...

    Rim/Tire identification

Yeah 98G is right, those are aluminum MRAP wheels but they are the goofy ones that have the same bolt pattern as the 5-tons. So they Will NOT fit a deuce with an adapter. I dont think the aluminum ones even fit the 5 tons since they are so thick i remember reading how they rub on thr brakes...

    MRAP air leak

I agree with submerging it. On a few occasions I've gotten the wrong ratio of soap to water, or wrong soap, or too hard of water, whatever..... but the soapy solution hasn't done its job well enough to make the leak obvious. The kiddy pool is a great idea! If you don't have one handy, maybe...
