Not sure we have enough info to tell you the problem, but here is my input:
-If the truck physically could not turn any further to the right (but it should) then perhaps the Air assist ram's clamp slipped on the tie rod and is preventing further movement in that direction.
-If you just lost the...
I think most all of the stickers on the trucks I've seen say "demil F code". Also I wouldn't worry too much about the oil pressure just yet. I think its very common for them to have a mismatched oil pressure gauge and sensor (often its a 60 psi gauge with a 120 psi sender). I swapped mine out...
I've done both, and even used a vacuum pump: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?108671-PEASHOOTER-s-M109A3-CAMPER-Build-Thread&p=1546640&viewfull=1#post1546640
Check out this as another option. This guy put an eaton 6spd manual into his m35a3.

Jesse Katz lives near you (same city I think) and had a ton of Mrap wheels & tires not long ago. I don't have his contact info any longer and I don't think he is s member on here anymore but you can track him down through his/his brothers website I'm sure: www.gatosbros.com. I have no idea on...
Well how I did mine was to top off the reservoir (and keep it topped off throughout the process)
-1. Bleed front air pack (pass side)
-2. Bleed rear air pack (drv side)
-3. Bleed pass rearmost cyl
-4. Bleed drvs rearmost cyl
-5. Bleed pass center axle cyl
-6. Bleed drivers center axle cyl
-7...
Their is no great rebuild kit available for the DUAL CIRCUIT master cylinders like there is for the single circuit ones. The only available rebuild kits are like the picture below that include some seals and a C clip. O-rings are EPDM. The repair kit that will fit the dual circuit 87-89' trucks...
The Seals for these (at least what was factory original) are EPDM rubber. The only repair kit I'm aware of that will work for the dual circuit A2 and A3 trucks is Raybestos MK1624 which is still a good number according to Raybestos but its tough to find any place that has these stocked any...
These brakes sort of have a TM, you can find it here:http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?90155-Deuce-dual-brake-system-TM&p=1155705&viewfull=1#post1155705
Also they are about the same as the M35a3 so you can go off any brake bleeding procedures you find for that also. The master...
This weekend my family and I went and visited a local SS member (HOEFLER) who has a fun collection of MVs. I just asked if I could come see his MK48, but he let me drive it! It was an absolute thrill to drive and we had a great couple hours visiting with him. He also let me drive one of his...
The M109 boxes are pretty heavy, not sure if you would want to be swapping it in and out. A member (59Apache) from Germany did what you are saying with his deuce and slide in shelter. Check out this thread...
I'm still a bit uncertain if these Air Force trucks were 100% new parts. I've got an '88 but there are a few things like serial number and some felt gasketing on one section of the van box (when all other sections had newer 3M rubber gasketing between the interior sheet metal panels and box...
The reservoir has 2 caps but just one is accessible. Their is an internal divider between the 2 caps that only goes up 1/3 to 1/2 height of the reservoir. So as long as you fill it full it will fill both sides of the reservoir.
The purple dot 5 looses its color and turns yellow after a while. You can test it with water some how (do a search I can't recall how). It's a little tougher to pressure bleed these master cylinders, check to see if the vent line from the master cylinder goes up to the steering column area on...
I do have all the info from the original MRAP ADAPTER classified posting and much more that I've consolidated into a 4 page instruction sheet that I send out with adapters. I'll get that added to the link Gringeltaube mentioned one of these days.
Not too much to update on the truck, but here are some pics of a new battery disconnect switch and upcoming projects:
I winterized the truck the other day and realized my battery disconnect switch wasn't disconnecting anymore. I saw some rust on the bottom of the switch so I assume either the...
Regarding the brakes... If I understand airpaks correctly then they only are adding the boost. Meaning I believe your master cylinder is doing all the work of moving the majority of fluid volume and applying the brakes/pushing the brake pads out against the drum UNTIL they reach a certain...
Yes I'd go with your original plan that makes sense. I had bought one of those paint crayons a while back that you use to fill in engraving (used it for the throttle and shut down pull handles on the dash), I'd probably fill in the engraving personally but everyone is different. This is one of...
i prefer this more detailed version, I like that there is no guessing as to how it works internally. Are you thinking of anodizing these and machining lettering after or selling them unfinished (bare aluminum)? I know the more requests like this that you get, the more expensive they become...
