Thanks for the step by step rustystud. Are these Parker fittings you are demonstrating with? Are the Weatherhead brand ones done the same way? I had bought a SSP brand Braided hose setup a while back and it had a little different connector without a separate Ferrule, never knew how tight to...
Here is an article I read in a magazine at work last year about LED design and technical challenges, I just ran across it again so I figured I'd post it to this thread as it seems relevant. Some of whats in there has already been said such as bad solder joints because many of these boards are...
Well I jumped the gun a bit with the Oriley auto seats. I installed my test one and it seemed fine while just sitting in it (not driving) so I got a second one and installed it and also bought a rear flip up jumpseat from a 99 Chevy s-10 out of a junkyard to use in the middle. I didnt install...
Yeah I'm sure many of us could make something like that, I think the cost would be a bit steep (considering its use) if we machined it like they did. It would also throw off the balance of the wheel some and looks like it might be tough to get different types of air chucks into it.
Rather...
I also agree its a CTIS valve. I think other members that have gotten MRAP wheels with that valve on have been able to leave it in place as it still has a standard Schrader valve on the front. I haven't played with one personally but someone was telling me about them, I think he said it was a...
The Viton -012 orings from McMaster have a durometer (hardness) of A75, the mil spec Buna N orings from McMaster have A65 and A70 depending on which one you look at. So it appears that Viton is a little harder than a standard O-ring but not by much.
Viton is better or equal to Buna-N in every...
According to Mcmaster.com this would be a -012 size o-ring. They have 3 different Mil-Spec Buna-N orings listed, part numbers:

That is incredible! An average of 32mph over its life... sounds legit to me. How much of the truck is still original would you guess? Has most everything been overhauled or replaced?
This is what I did also. Just rolled the wheel up to the truck and rocked it back and fourth into position then jacked the truck up to the right height. On the rear wheels you probably need to get the whole axle (both wheels) off the ground so you can spin the hub to the correct location to line...
Well I ended up getting 2 of the Oreilly Auto parts racing seats and then bought a rear jump seat from a 99 chevy s-10 pickup. I put the 2 racing seats in and took the truck for a few trips now with them. I decided they dont work too well for me so I'll be getting rid of them. The problem for me...
I put a new takeout trans in a couple years ago and when I went to test shift it After i put the shifter arm on I noticed the whole transmission moved because the bolts attaching it to the bell housing were loose and I never thought of checking them before I installed it. Rather than take the...
Well I did end up checking out a junk yard today. I had a few ideas from it but after measuring the room I have between the bucket seats I think the best bet at the moment is probably going to be the rear jump seat from an S10 pickup. I also checked some of the rear fold out jump seats from the...
I just pulled the picture off of ebay, I think its from a newer Silverado if I remember right. I figured the difficult part will be to find a center seat that isn't too deep so that it wont interfere with the shifter or hi/low transfercase selector.
We do have a few "you pull it" junkyards...
I'm hoping someone has already done this and is willing to share their work.
I'm installing 2 bucket seats and would like to put some type of flip up seat or fold down backrest center seat in for the rare but occasional times that a 3rd seat is needed.
If anyone has done this, I'd love to...
Check out blue sea systems, they make marine switch panels and other goodies that come in 12-24v versions. They may have what you want. http://www.bluesea.com/
I do remember that picture, just forgot it was yours:) I like that setup. Is it comfortable? Can you get those seats in a color other than tan by chance? Hard to tell from the pic, but how did you mount the drivers seat... is that to a springer base?
Sure Greg, Here is a link to my post on the Airbag, but HERE is the link to what I copied and where all the part numbers are.
Thanks Juergen, I forgot about the seat project you had done. I just checked it out again though thanks to your handy links on your signature box. I really like the...
