Here's a comprehensive look at things that could keep the HMMWV from starting.

Sounds to me like you need to check each glow plug with an ohm meter...
If the wait light is cycling properly, then it likely...
It took nearly 2 weeks to get this war-weary USMC veteran running.
We drained a few gallons of water (and a frog) from the engine. Found a really scary amount of rust and let it sit for several days to let my homebrew penetrating concoction break through the rust that kept the engine from...
Just saw this 12v-24v wireless backup camera on sale today 20% off at Amazon... https://amzn.to/2P9jYGd
I went with a bigger screen, but it looks like a pretty clean option for someone that doesn't want to run extra wires, assuming you have added reverse lights to tap into to power the camera.
Did you add a switch to your gear shifter to link to the camera so it "knows" when you are in reverse?
I have some neutral switches and was going to do that, but decided that I like being able to manually control the camera regardless of where I'm in reverse or not.
Thanks. Neither the IP or the truck were under water. The USMC left the intake uncovered while it was parked in long-term storage for years. So, it filled the engine with a few gallons of water. The throttle control on the IP is stiff. I'm hoping it is just some congealed fuel in it that will...
Got the seized engine unseized and able to spin with the starter. Going to spray out the bottom with brake cleaner to clean all the trash out then some penetrating oil then put the oil pan back on, fillwith oil, new glow plugs, engine belt, and attempt to start this puppy.
Or get the much cheaper one and swap 2 wires in the plug...

No worries. I am checking things as I go in order of priority and with overall condition and cost in mind. I'm not buying anything for this truck that I can't sell to get my money back out of if the whole thing turns to ****.
But, from what we have seen so far, the rest of the truck appears to...
Here is what we did in the original Battlewagon: https://gear-report.com/b/4PR
The Battlewagon 2.0 will get a different type of backup camera setup than the original Battlewagon.
The slantback top on 2.0 has no window. So, a rear view mirror mounted monitor just won't work.
This 7" LCD...
The link I provided is where I update what has been done each day. Most of what you asked is in there.
But for convenience:
- cylinders were vacuumed, the cylinders and intake filled with 50/50 acetone/ATF yesterday.
- breaker bar on the crankshaft bolt did nothing. Afraid to put any more torque...
I'm going to drill and tap the bottom of this fake grenade to go atop the transfer case shifter. No need to fool with a button on the transmission shifter.
Besides, I pretty much never touch the t-case shifter. So, the comfort of the knob on top is a non-issue. The transmission shifter though...
This will buff out, right?
Got the M1045A2 home and found the engine full of water. Yikes!
I created a page to track the progress of the Battlewagon 2.0 project: https://gear-report.com/p/6cb
Yep. Since ITAR covers sale to prohibited folks, as does the purchase agreement, and the purchase paperwork leaves a paper trail, it appears to me that the EUC really has no value.
Especially for commodity items that are available on the civilian market... like the transfer case I mentioned...
If that were true then they would require that we at least paint them so they don't look like they are still military vehicles. I have seen nothing in the documents or requirements that even suggests this is a concern.
And if we were talking about something dangerous, then I might agree.
But usually, it is for something completely ridiculous... like a truck.
Not a truck decked out in armor and machine guns. Just a truck with no "goodies" on it.
Or a transfer case of the same make and model that anyone can go...
