Welcome aboard! This is really a great site for the Military Vehicle enthusiast. I have an M35A2, which I did an extensive restoration to, and if you get a hold of one like mine, you will have a blast getting it set up the way you want it.

Don't be so quick to dismiss the smaller trailers behind a duece. I tow an M101 CDN2, 1/4 ton trailer, without issue, and it looks good too. All that is needed, is a 2nd receiver mount to attach another pintle to accomodate the lower height.

Has anyone installed the A3 dash panel in their A2? I don't think the New type electric Tachometer has any way to attach to the Multi-fuel motor, but the panel itself, allows for a " Low Air Warning Light ", as well as an " Emergency Brake Light" , on the panel. The Low air isn't a problem...

I have a better one. Use a 3" rubber pipe cap, and to dress mine up, I placed a small hole in the middle and ran a " REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT " 12" streamer out of it. The rubber pipe cap will stretch a bit around the outside of the pipe edge and make a nice seal, to keep water and anything else...

Even so, there is nothing like a 1/4 ton Trailer being towed by a Jeep. I bought a Canadian M101 to tow behind my Hummer H3, and now am trading in for a Wrangler 4 Door. I am actually more happy now that a Jeep will be towing my trailer than when I first bought the trailer to go with the H3.

Spend the money and you will never need to worry again. The manufacturer of the 12 pin military socket is BarCar, in Illinois. The socket is only available with the square yellow zinc mounting plate. Order the plug with the 7 or 4 wire leads necessary to accomodate your trailer connection...

Well seeing that the thread is back up, here is what I did, and yes, the 1/4 ton trailer tows behind wonderfully! I take it out a lot, and I love the way it tracks.

There's nothing wrong with starting from the ass up! I did the same, but instead of a Jeep or MUTT, I ended up with a Duece.
