The original Grote LEDs did not have a load resister built into the light, and what happened was the flasher unit could not read the signal that was being produced by the turn signal control when activated. There simply was not enough amps drawn by the LEDs to cause the flasher unit to react...
Another source for these tarps is to buy direct from the manufacturer:
GMA Cover Corp. Call them and give them the NSN on the cover. They still have them.
I wouldn't use the HMMWV rack, as it is designed to fold up and down underneath the truck, like some of those spare tire arrangements on modern SUV types.
You are better off using the standard M37/ Duece rack that is a solid one piece rack. It holds all the tools securely, and can be mounted...
Thanks fro the replys fellsa. I think it is the flasher unit too.
The nice thing about the military vehicles, unlike commercially made brand cars, is they're relatively easy to fix and work on. Heck, My '10 JK wrangler needs to go and get plugged into all kinds of computer diagnostic...

I have the soft cab top, and no heater. I have no leaks, and drive the truck in the winter without issue. Sure it is colder than if you were driving with the heater, but once the motor gets up to temperature, the cab warms up just fine. I have driven the truck in windy 18 degree cold days, and...
My only day off is Thursday, next week. Will it be disappointing to go during setup to catch a looksse of the display vehicles? I don't know how many people will be there early- setting up.

You can always pull a 1/4 ton too. Just add a lower receiver hitch, and it will work fine. I did for my M101 CDN2, and not only have I pulled it several hundred miles already, but it doesn't look that much smaller.
