    Engine Question

FYI on the Cummins v/s the LDS... I’ve had the opportunity to speak to several of the guys around the country whom build the gun truck replicas we see pics of here occasionally. All but one of them run the LDS and prefer them over the Cummins engines for the simple reason of top end speed...

    Greetings from Florida

A Class E licence is good for 26,000 LBS on a non commerical vehicle in FL... This is why you take everything with a grain if salt and never trust anything anyone "says"... Do your own homework! Class E: Any non-commercial motor vehicles with Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) less than...

    Concealed weapons permit in SC

CCW's are a great thing... So far many states are working on banning together on these, especally here in the south. We REALLY dont want the Fed involved in making a Federal permit though... It would screw something up beyond repair. Lots of local info for those whom want to know can be found...

So You Want Sound In That CUCV?

No "specs"... They are just MDF cut to shape and routed out to look pretty... Its plazma cutting the back side out to fit the speaker which would make most sick... LMC sells something close to this if you look in thier catalog.

    OD Iron AC

I believe it will fit in there as the compressor sits quite a bit lower than the alternator does... Note I say "believe"... I still think you will need to notch out a corner of the battery box... but I’m not for certain on that ether as I’m told the arctic kit battery trays are narrower, but I...

    OD Iron AC

wow thats gonna be tight... I would need a measurement between the alt and whatever gadget is next to it (blower housing?)... The battery box bottom rear corner would have to be modified (notched out). Why keep that kit on in CC Tx?

    rear main seal leak

Rear mains are very common to fail on trucks from storage... I have a newer style lip material that is better than the older Viton used in the stock seals if your looking to change it... http://www.odiron.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=4_54&products_id=538 You can also find them at Napa, the...

So You Want Sound In That CUCV?

I have been working on a CUCV for several weeks now with a long list of mods and conversions. One being something to drown out the road noise! Being that this is not my truck but something I could "play" with (mine is upcoming) I wanted to try and keep the set up "looking" appropriate for the...

Underhood work... I should note that the fan was changed out for a 6 blade flex fan to help up the CFM at idle... This is not part of the kit but something I thought would help cooling over all...

best kind of batteries to use?

About 400$ each... lol E is right… they are the best but he also knows what they cost. By far gel cells are the better bet in any battery choice and is now what the military is putting in trucks (CUCV’s are retrofitted with Optima’s).... I personally use Napa's 9934/78 gel which pretty much...
