Wow. I bet that was fun. I have ran my 74 cj Jeep in some places it had no business. It's stuck in the edge of a mud hole right now. I've had water around my feet a couple times in it.
Ran my Honda fourtrax off in the same mud hole and sunk it. I drain 7 qts of watery oil from the engine and...
Glad it's running.
You'll probably have to ad fluid a couple times to the power steering as the air works out. Does the trans have any fluid in it? Check the vacume lines also, for shifting issues.
Here is another idea. Maybe the fact of being a 30 year old, rattling, diesel, that was probably not built to be tight as a Lamborghini engine and is just old could be part of it. Sometimes turds impact the propeller and that's that. It's a old, possible had a hard life, engine. That's just a...
Do you know where the engine oil leak is?
Basically it all comes down to this: do I want to spend the time to do the job and have time and money in it or just use money I make at my job to let someone else do it and I don't have to touch it.
One thing I will say also it that it's a 30 year...

Well my truck has sat for almost a week without being started. Yesterday I got in and it started before the engine crankded over twice. It really makes all the blood sweet and sour words worth it when the truck runs like that. Then I took off to dover. Held that truck at 50-70 the entire way...
I hear you buddy. I'm 18 and still a caveman lol. Engines, ATVs, trucks, mechanical stuff I'm good. With a plug, well that gets interesting sometimes lol.
If that person hit that truck hard enough to do that much damage they had to be rolling. I don't see how the driver walked from that and is hiding out. Crazy world we live it I guess
I have a gear reduction starter from hillbilly wizard. It does a great job at cranking of that 6.2 even on the coldest West TN days.
Now if the truck still won't start after you get the new starter on and the batteries charged you can do what I've done a couple times in a pinch. Take about 8...
