    Diagnosing the DB2 pump

They do great work. My truck runs great now that I had them rebuild my pump. It's only a 3-4 hour job to pull one. Just go easy and have fun.

That panel and those lights look awesome

Keep Military OEM or change scheme looking for advice.

My opinion is this. 1: it's your truck so do as you wish. Then here's 2: I like the military look of my truck even though it has a flatbed, lots of off road lights, and aluminum wheels (flat black). I fly 2 flags above my truck, one is Old Glory, I fly it because I'm a proud American and also...

    My 1986 M1010

Those RPMs are about right for what my truck runs at 60. The tach is definitely a valued tool for me. I like to know how hard I'm pushing that block but I can tell you the faster you go the faster you burn fuel. It seems to be gallons per mile instead of miles per gallon after you hit 55.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I run mine 60 and 70 a lot of the time. It's hit 80 once but it loves 60-65. It's a myth that these trucks only run 55 without exploding. But I reckon we have hashed that out a few times. Any who I do get passed a lot but I don't care. I want a sticker that's a turtle that looks like a really...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Maybe a scalded snail than? Or maybe it was just a one legged dog. But you get my point, I know the 6.2 is not a powerhouse out the wazzo but it is strong with some gears behind it. If ya don't believe me go to YouTube, search cucv truck pull green machine. Y'all know what my truck looks like.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

When it starts to loose power over time and eventually has non. It will usually blow smoke also. As long as it's getting fuel to the pump it should run like a scalded dog but you basically can't miss the signs. It's only 300 ish to have it rebuilt and then a few gaskets and your labor if you do...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

It wasn't my truck but today I pulled the intake, and Injection pump off a friends cucv blazer so he can get it rebuilt. Even with me teaching the process to a newbie it still only took about 3 hrs. So whenever he gets it rebuilt I will help get it back on. Also diesel performance in Memphis is...

You will love that tachometer. I'm running the same one on my 08. It's super handy for telling you rpm at different speeds to keep the 6.2 in one piece. So far 80 on the speedo hasn't popped it (knock on wood) but it sure is screaming like crazy at 75+. I bet that 1010 drives great at 70 with...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Ahh ok. I've heard of transfer cases exploding and stuff like that from running a smaller tire on the front and trying to use 4x4. I will lock in my front hubs every so often and drive a little in 2x4 just to slosh the oil around and keep everything wet and happy.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

So are you running a different size tire up front right now? If so don't try 4x4 as it will put a lot of stress on the transfer case and other drive line parts.

I'd definitely change the pump since you are already in there that far. So it made a racket when the oil and water started to mix? Good job so far, .
