    Traveling by rail!!

DM is a real train nut! He's always wanting to see train videos from my father-in-law who is a RETIRED train nut (Civil Engineer for Maine Central RR). They are two little peas in a pod and then some! I'll have to get this thread for DM. He'll love it!

    LDT vs LDS Engines

The LDS also has more horsepower as well. 210 hp as compared to 165 with the LDT. I believe this is correct but anyone can feel free to correct me anytime!

    m1009 rims are 16" right??

Mike, They called an M880 "@#$%^&*&^%%$## JUNK!!" when I was in the USAF. Of course they used really colorful language to describe it. I actually had fun with them. However, I never did work on them. :D

Talking on a Cell in a deuce

Geez, and all this because I made a few phone calls so I wouldn't nod off behind the wheel! BTW, being sick saps my energy, thus the calls only on the Interstate system. The CB gets out. But with everyone doing 20+ mph faster than me my abilities to get a conversation going via C.B. radio are...

How many miles should I expect from an LDT 465

JR, These engines will last your grandchildren's lifetime so long as everyone maintains them properly. They are a heavy-duty engine that will out-last most everything else.

    Tire advice?

SB, Always use virgin rubber on the front that's less than 10 years old to avoid blow-outs. Check the DOT date imprinted on the side of the tire (week of year/year). This information will tell you if the rubber compound inside the tire has had enough time to start dry-rotting or not. The...
