You would need to have more that one sticking injector to keep the engine from getting above 1300 at WOT. And the white cloud coming from the exhaust would be epic. It would not be drivable if it couldn't get above 1300 in netural. If you haven't drove it since you replaced the fuel, I would bet...
Did any water come out of the filter when you drained it? If so let it sit over night. Enough time for the water to settle to the bottom of the fuel tank. There is a small black drain on the bottom of the fuel tank. Drain the water off there. If this is the case replace the fuel filter and...
I feel your pain. My truck came really close to getting a thermal fan clutch and a 6 blade 20 inch fan. I even got a extra water pump pulley and chucked it in my lathe. Then machined the boss off and made a pin to center the thermal fan clutch. When something else fails it's going on.
If there is air in the line to the fan clutch It will compress and activate/deactivate the clutch normally. You can crack the line at the clutch and start the engine until the fluid sprays out it you like. (Normally about a second of run time before fluid sprays everywhere.) But it should work...
I know you said the injectors are new. But that does not mean they are good. Most including Bosh are made in India now. I have found many defects in the last 5 years. At 20 MPG you probally only have one bad one. It might be dribbling and not burning completely. Use a infra red heat gun on each...
I agree with 98G, A tire sitting in a warehouse compaired to one sitting in the desert sun makes all the difference. Inspecting them for blems/cracks would be higher on my list. My M35 has a few surplus 9.00-20's from the 80's on it with no problems.
Does your block have a block off plate at the top back by the tach drive? If not it would need to be machined to accept the turbo. The turbo mounts at the rear of the block on the top. Oil is supplied and returned where is mounts. No lines. The heads are different. Along with the air intake...
Ben,
It first I just wanted to repair the engine in it. Because the mileage was so low. As I got more into it I changed my mind and decided to swap. I have a spare good 6.2 from a CUCV that I planned on installing. But I came across a GEP6.5 and purchased it instead. I still have the 3 speed...
I was just in you shoes. I ended up replacing the 6.2 with a GEP6.5. The passenger side head blew the gasket and cracked the head on mine. Pulling the passenger side head in the truck was not easy. You could do a compression check and maybe yours blew the head gasket or head on the drivers...
The 3.08 geared trucks came with the 4 speed already. The older 998's came with 3 speeds and 2.56 gears. Mine has a 3 speed and 2.56's. I can do 60MPH but the truck isn't impressed.
For V-belts with 4 belts and a 60AMP Gen.

Alt Gates 7640.
For U-joints the front drive shaft on mine were smaller than the rear drive shaft. The bearing cup diameters are the same but the cross is shorter on the front shaft.
