See if you can go from the NSN number to a manufacturer. The manufacturer is probably the only one that is going to have an exploded view of the pump and probably the only source for the parts. I just had to do the same thing while looking for a part my Rotochamber. I found that it was made...
Just had to show off what my new 816 did last night. Sorry about the quality, but that is from a cell phone. Anyway, I went over to another SS members house and pulled his 816 out from in front of his deuce, pulled the deuce out, backed the 816 back down the drive, and then backed the M35 back...
I found a crowbar worked best for me. You drive the curved end between bead and rim and then hit it with the biggest hammer you can swing. Move a few inches and repeat. I was amazed at how easy it was when you actually push on the bead of the tire and not the side wall.
If your talking about the part that replaces the drag link, yes it should be loose until you install it. That's the only way it will slip over the ball on the pitman arm. The other end should be loose also.
These are everything we had hoped they would be. They are the heavy insulated ones with zippered windows, velcro straps for the top rods, and rubber cord to fasten it to the cab. We have put one on adeuce and it fit like a glove.
We are going back to our origional $250, including shipping to...
KY jelly helps get the hoses on also! Remember, the hardest part is getting the rubber grommets in between the air cylinder and the spring bracket. I would do that on the bench next time. It's a real PITA.
I talked with Dave from GL and I'm pretty sure he told me Monday and Thursday only. In fact I repeated it to him because I was a little troubled by that. He said that they work three different bases and that they were only at "Wright-Pat" on Mondays and Thursdays. I would love to be wrong...
I'm trying to arrange a trucking company to pick up my M816 from Wright-Patterson and I just learned that they only loadout on Mondays and Thursdays. It's hard enough to arrange for a trucker to be there in the specified two week time frame, but when you tell him that he has to be there on a...
We have had to replace two of the injector lines because of leaks. Also, it might not leak at lower throttle openings, but then would be covered after being out on the road. One of the lines broke in half right at the junction of the ferrell, down inside the IP and under the retaining nut.

We just won them on GL today, so, it will be a few days before we get them. Even with all the problems we had with the freight company on or first try at selling, we still were able to sell the power steering units about half of what everyone else was selling them for and make a little money...
We're going to be getting some new cab tops for the M35 and M809 series trucks. These will be the GI insulated, three color camo, with the zipper rear window. As we did with the power steering units, we are planning to sell them well below market to SS members.
Just thought you might be...
The easiest thing to check is the drag link, and you will have to take it off in order to remove the steering gear anyway. Disconnect the drag link and check to see if you are getting full movement of the pitman arm with it removed. If so, it's not the steering gear.
If you have a drag...
