Our deuce is exactly 8 feet wide. If you have a little clearance on your gate, it would make it through, as long as it's shorter than the mirrors. Or, you could fold them in. As for a hard top, I believe an good insulated soft top is just as good, if not better, than a hard top. Most of the...
There are only two shafts that run to the back: the hydraulic pump for the crane, and the winch. If the crane is being controled by the power divider lever in the cab, it would only leave the winch shaft. The winch shaft is the bigger shaft that runs pretty much level to the back. The crane...
It depends on how much of it your talking about. The swing own section probably weighs around 100 lbs. The slide in arm probably weighs another 50 lbs. You can take them apart but you will need a hammer and a small drift to knock the pin out. Also, sometimes the pull out arm does not want to...
No Gimpy, I'm not the seller, but I just finished cleaning and lubing my outriggers. There are a lot of forgings as well as machining that go into those things. I would bet that if you went to a fab shop and asked them to build you one from scratch, it would cost several thousand dollars.
Anyone out there who has taken them apart knows that you couldn't start to make them for $500, unless you just want the feet. I would think that $500 would be cheap.
You may be the first person to ever want to buy them! I'd say it's a case of supply and demand. If you can find any sitting around, they probably would want to get rid of them. However, they are probably a lot like hens teeth.
Justin,
I think the most important thing in one of these old trucks is to find one that is not worn out or rusted through. That being said, it's almost impossible to tell either from a picture. Even if you have a chance to go look at it, most people still could not tell how many miles are on...
I like the soft tops just as well, if not better, than the hard tops. I also know where you can find a new soft top!
Glad to know there is someone else in Denton interested in MV's.
You can also get the cans cocked to one side if your not careful. From the amount of oil that you described, I would check that first. As was stated earlier, push the can up in place before tightening the bolt. It's a real pain and I think you will probably be a good candidate for some spin...
All I can think of is the time we had with the bolts on the back of the bed. Some are almost inaccessable. I think they must have put the bumperettes on last because they are in the way of a lot of the bolts. I would suggest taking them off first.
Good luck with it. We have enjoyed ours...
I had the same problem with an M37. Someone had reversed the battery cables. It would start and run but the gauges did not work and it did not charge. After switching the polarity of the battery cables, it ran the same but now the gauges worked. However, it still would not charge. I had the...
Well, either nobody likes me or nobody knew the answer to my question!
Either way, I figured it out. In the newer Lubercation Order for the 900 series trucks, it has a better picture of where the level plug is. Anyone want to know??????
It's just under the fairlead roller on the driver's...
