Picked up electrical supplied yesterday.
Drilled 1-1/8" hole on the side of the splice box on the generator set. Installed 3/4" Liquidtite non-metalic flex conduit between the splice box and electric panel. Inserted (4) #6 THHN wires into the Liquidtite.
Connected the #6 wires to the...
I just wanted to make sure they sere rated higher than the circuit breakers I want to install in the breaker panel I added to my setup. I plan to install a 20 AMP 3 Phase breaker for any 3 phase items I want to test. I am also installing some 2 pole breakers. 30/30 and 40/40 for single phase...
Searched TMs as well as online and could not find the AMP rating of the CB1 3 phase circuit breaker on the MEP002A generator. It tells you the rating of the CB3 that protects the service outlet but no the main breaker. Anyone know what it should be?
I was trying to figure out how to solve the vent issues with the fuel tank I installed. Juan Prado suggested using axle vents. Found a good deal on axle vents with 1/8" pipe thread on AMAZON.COM. Only $2.06 each! They fit perfectly on the 2 small ports of the fuel tank.
I got the 3 phase electrical panel in last night from AMAZON.COM. The physical dimensions were a bit bigger than I envisioned. I had planned to mount the panel on the side of the tool box I mounted earlier this week. When I placed the box against the side of the tool box I could see some...

Lets just say it has more weight in front of the axle than behind it. I still have to mount the spare in front of the bulkhead wall. Also install 3 Jerry Can mounts on top of the fender. Long tool box on top of the other fender. Maybe a reel for heavy power cord in the back behind the...
Finally had a chance to do some more work on the fuel tank installation. Got the fuel tank strapped into place today. Also installed the fuel pickup fitting i scavenged from the 3rd fuel filter housing the I removed. Had to tap a 1/4" pipe thread into the existing fitting on the fuel pickup...
Aren't split rims also know as suicide rims? If so they are dangerous. Most tire shops will not work on them. Unless you are talking about split ring tires.
If you want a tow bar the is stronger than the Medium tow bar but lighter than the heavy tow bar, I have a Heavy-Medium tow bar with the combination 3/4" and 1" Y feet. The feet are nos and so are the 3/4" pins. Do not have any 1" pins. PM me if interested. (your back will thank you)
I know its been a while since I added to this project. I worked on the fuel tank mount brackets. I am using Unistrut for the brackets. I added some 1" angle to the top for attaching the hold down strap.
I cut some strips from rubber horse stall mats to insert into channel and cut one T...
The best stuff out there is Tuff_R rigid insulation. It comes in a variety of thicknesses. Has the best R value of rigid insulation. They also use it on flat roofs under the rubber membrane. It is water proof closed cell. Some Home Depots sell it. If not try lumber yards or roofing...
