Sf97 6 weeks so far GOVplanet

I paid for an SF97 for my HMMWV on 6/23/2016 and received the form with Bill of Sale on 7/12/2016. That is less than 3 weeks! (considering we had a holiday weekend)

Started my 003 for the first time since January

There is a grounding lug attached to the chassis of the generator below the control panel. It has a nut on the other side of the cross-member that secures the 2 main grounding wires from the batteries. The ground from the batteries goes to the ground bolt on the starter first. Then it goes to...

Started my 003 for the first time since January

Yes. I doubt they need all 3 pumps to feed the fuel from the primary. In fact the auxiliary line feeds the primary fuel tank. Then the fuel is fed to the generator through the 2 primary pumps. The fuel tank has a level shut-off so you can't overfill the tank from the auxiliary source. I...

Started my 003 for the first time since January

I think one of the pumps are for the Auxiliary Fuel Feed. You can test the pump by switching from primary to auxiliary fuel and see if you get voltage to the pump.

goldneagle's M923 recovery and modification thread

I decided to tackle the spring assist tailgate mod someone posted on our site. I did make a change to the installation. I bent the bottom lip of the tailgate where the spring goes instead of cutting the piece out. (see pictures) I found out the cheapest 5/8" rod to use for the modified...

Goldneagle's M116A1 Generator Trailer restore and modification thread

    OK I got the dimensions I need. I also requested a price and availability for the cargo cover. BOWS: L = 72.25" , H = 54.5" , Thickness = 0.073 to 0.093" max , Inside corner radius: 4.25" , Mounting End Thickness: 1" TARP: L = 95" , H = 63" , W = 72.5" So a 16' x 20' tarp would work...

    Poor Man's Cargo Bows

I have worked with OSB and I agree it is not the best option for this application. It is very weak in narrow strips. It is also susceptible to water damage. If it is left out in the rain it will absorb the water and swell up badly with time. Once it swells up it is very fragile and weak...

Goldneagle's M116A1 Generator Trailer restore and modification thread

I would like to get the proper vinyl top for a M116 generator trailer. Therefor I need the standard height of the top of bows so I can fabricate the proper height staves that will eventually support the vinyl top. It does not matter to me if it is specifically for the PU-620/M since I do not...

Goldneagle's M116A1 Generator Trailer restore and modification thread

I am waiting for a SteelSoldiers member to get back to me with info for shipping me 8 used 5 ton cargo bow corners. I will use the bow corners to assemble custom bows for my trailer. I need to know the correct height of the bows from top of trailer bed. Can anyone provide the measurement...

Goldneagle's M116A1 Generator Trailer restore and modification thread

Yesterday I sanded, primed, and painted 3 Jerrycan Holders. Today I installed them on the right fender of the trailer. In the pictures you will see I applied a black substance to the fender location where each Jerrycan holder will sit. I used a pencil to outline the location of each base...

If it is not as listed, AMAZON will pay for return shipping and either refund you or send you a replacement. They have really good customer service as my experience.

Goldneagle's M116A1 Generator Trailer restore and modification thread

Picked up some additional electrical components from Home Depot. Installed 2 outlet to the left of the breaker panel. Top outlet is a 20 AMP 120 Volt Ground Fault. The lower one is a 20 AMP 3 phase twist lock. Wiring is complete for this generator setup. See pictures.

Managed to get the 2 outlet boxes wired today. All went smoothly except for the high humidity. Here are some pictures.

Goldneagle's M116A1 Generator Trailer restore and modification thread

Well that idea did not work out. Not enough depth in the box for the cover to close over the outlet and plug. I returned the panel to Home Depot and purchased (2) 50 amp 240 volt RV receptacle boxes. I replaced one of the 50 AMP outlets with a older style 3 prong 50 AMP 240 Volt outlet. This...

Has anyone made up decals for the MEP-002A front panel?

Can anyone do a scan of the front control panel and save it as a .jpg or .pdf? I can use it to get decals made at a sign shop.

Has anyone made up decals for the MEP-002A front panel?

I saw that one. Too pricey for me. Not worth replacing a perfectly good aluminum panel front just for some faded lettering. I am going to paint the aluminum and apply decals. JUst need something to work off of.

Has anyone made up decals for the MEP-002A front panel?

Has anyone made up decals for the MEP-002A front panel? All my data tags are bleached out. The only one I am really concerned about is the front panel. Would be a lot cheaper to get decals made than replacing the aluminum face plate. Maybe someone can do a nice tracing of the writing around...

Thank you. I am humbled by your praise. Going to make up a custom outlet box from a gutted 3R exterior panel. Hopefully I can do it tomorrow.
