LOUISIANA PROPOSED NEW LAW : HB 549 Provides for Military Surplus Motor Vehicles

I appreciate Sen. Hewitt’s help with this especially since I am in her district! She really came through for us on this matter. The senator's office kept us updated as to the process and asked us for input along the way. They get an A+++++ from me for effort.

Gen 2 light / Alternator trouble fixed the hard way

I have a CUCV that was sold from a fire department in Mississippi. Someone wired the 2nd alternator (passenger side) reverse polarity and blew up the battery and really messed up the wiring. I replaced the alternator with a new one (not reman). I replaced all the bad fuseable links and any...

goldneagle's M936 Wrecker recovery and restore thread

The truck had standard 11.00-20 tires originally. The 14.00-20s do not fit behind the tool box on the M936A0 truck. The M936A1 and M936A2 have a narrower tool box to accommodate the wider tire storage behind it.

goldneagle's M936 Wrecker recovery and restore thread

Today I fabricated a door in the back of the wrecker bed to replace the damaged metal partition. This door allows for easier dismounting of the boom support legs as well as other heady equipment stored on the driver's side of the wrecker bed. No more lifting the equipment over the back partition!

M1008 CUCV Passenger side alternator issues

I bought a M1008 truck from GSA. It was a former fire company truck. Had signs of blown battery on passenger side. Juanprado helped me with the passenger side alternator. After messing around with it for a while he noticed someone had reversed the 2 large red cables on the alternator. (that...

1991 BMY M923A2 loses heat when temp gauge hits 200 degrees

You may want to consider installing a bypass coolant filter. I did it in all my trucks. You can see the install in my 5 ton thread.

Is that a tailgate mount? That would be a very heavy tailgate!

    M998 Tailgate Spare tire carrier
