You can get a unity spot lamp for the roof or "A" pillar.
Any good NaPa should be able to get one for any truck model.( you will need to tell them that)
It will come with a template for drilling.
Only problem is you will need a spot light 1/2 drill bit.
It's 10" or so long if I remember.

I believe he is correct with calling it a D 30.
The military did not recognize the K 30 model designation.
No were in the Vin will it say "K" 3
It will show
"D"3
Us civilians know them as "K" models
When I got my IL title back for my most recent purchase of a 1028A2
No were did I indicate it...
Make sure the caliper is all the way up in the mount at the top.
Lot of times due to the weight of the caliper and the drag of the pads if the piston aren't collapsed you can have trouble getting the caliper to
"seat" at the top.
Also make sure you got "Standard" lock wedge's and not "oversize"...

The housing your trying to use from the wrecker is a corporate, one ton axle for cab/chassis models.
The Dana 70 HD was used in the pick up version because it is wider than the corporate by about 4" if I remember.
I know of no adapters to convert your original or corporate to do what you want...
A few things to ponder.
Yes you have to change the front hubs on the D60 to mount the 'Budd" style wheels.
Easier said than done because there hard to find. The rest of the axle is the same.
The rear used a Dana 70HD instead of the corporate axle.
The Dana 70 is also wider(wheel to wheel) to...
As "NDT" said, front and rear wheel bearings are packed with grease.
If you have gear oil in either one's you have a seal leaking.
Front would be the inner axle seal leaking.
Rear could be inner or outer seal leak.

Recovery is correct.
Only two wheel drive got the sway bar.
I ordered a 77 K30 (first year) and couldn't get it.
And it was a camper special and everything else including Tach,PW.PL, tilt,etc.
Every option was ordered.

Sorry, but that shaft does not just pull without disassembly of the pump.
It's time to remove and send off for a rebuild.
The input shaft seal will be next if not already leaking and diluting the engine oil when it does.

I change the GP's and all is well now.
But I have been seriously considering doing what you say.
I saw how easy it would be to do using the civilian junction block right there by the relay.
Problem is I'm not sure if 12v would energize the 24v relay.
So would probably need to change that...
The oil filter number listed in the FAQ list NaPa FL1092 which is a canister type.
I have not seen a canister type on GM engines in many years.
Correct # for my 6.2(1028A2) is Carquest 85061

Yes I have 12V at that Alt.,using there Battery Ground like you said.
I just finished installing the 8 GP's and it starts perfect.
Now the volt meter drops while the GP cycle,and I have a belt squealing until it catches up.
Which tells me there working.
Now to install new belts...

So is it normal to have 24.5 Volts at the Passenger side Alt. engine off not running.
I just got 8 new plugs to install still can't imagine after there in, they will drop the voltage at the relay from 24V to little above 12V.
Also everything else works as it should.

A'm I to understand the GP sytem should be 12V.
I'm reading 25.5 at the relay,engine off.
Needless to say all the GP are toast.
Was there a 24V set up.
I haven't dug into yet but the wires all good and original,except for a new relay.
Should I pull the cover of the firewall mounted resistor's...
