Well this lends to another question.
Did the military ever mount a plow blade on a duece?
And...
If not, how di they move snow on the northern bases that get it?
Not with a M880, or a CUCV, before 1970. Maybe an M37, or an M715?
It would be interesting to find out.
That is true with Trucklite, but Grote corrected the issue with resistors added into the circuitry at the factory. With my soild state, I have no issues.
I concur, around $140 -$175 each. depending on the manufacturer.
I recomend Grote. I did extensive research on these, and felt that they are a product improvemnt over the Trucklight LEDs.
For grease I use Kendall Blue high temperature lithium grease. It is blue, and is a good long lasting grease. I have it on my winch, all my lube points and in one axle that has had the two wheels bearings repacked.
Has anyone pulled the water jacket that the flame heater is mounted to?
Seems that there are two short hoses that connect up to the manifold and run the hot water out of the heads into the radiator.
I am toying with the idea of changing them. They were replaced when the motor was rebuilt at...
Man that will be a real frame off resto! I think that will b the best one I've seen yet. People have commented on mine when they see it, but I did mine all together. Yours will be that much more done.
I went though this w/ mine.

I think that they are all New Repro, but you have to order from one of the above.

Once the radiator and hoses are all back on, run the motor, and use the drain cocks on the front of the radiator and the rear of the engine block. Seems like you're doing a lot of extra work to flush the motor.
The clean water will flush most out but remember it's a cast iron block. Thre's...
I did mine a year ago, I changed out he radiator, and all the hoses. After I drained the system, I flushed with cold water from a hose, and ran the motor for a spell. Then drained, flushed a again, and did it one more time. Then refilled with a 60/40 split of heavy duty Teaxaco diesel coolant...
That makes more sense now.
Yes I agree, I replaced my breather tube hose, and the braided hose, that is to the right is the Turbo oil return line.
I replaced all my hoses with Blue Aeroquip high temp hose, to make it new, and find it easier.
