Well I got it runing today sounds good. oil pressure good. alt. charging but I have a bad air leak if it does't not start raining in the morning see if I can find that and fix and them take it for a drive . I did drive it around the lot at the shop but with no air no good brakes.

I got my M816 home today from Fort Gilliam and it had the bolltes still on it I need a hood and front bumper I don't know what all I got with it have got to cut the locks off .

Well I got the new toy home today this is the first truck I did not recover myself.all of the other trucks I have had hndrsonj with me and I have learned what to take as far as tools, oils, tow bar and all all the other stuf to get one . And this was my first 5Ton M816 but it is now home thanks...
Well go get a air pack off a DUCE and try to make it fit your brake master clyinder them you could have air brakes on the trailer good luck

It is not hard if you have the tools to do it with . You have to remove the steering wheel them the locking plate one bolt and remove the key assembly.

One more thing I spelled truck wrong in last reply. but make sure the gears are alined the ones in the one I have were not I had to make sure they were in neutural be cause the first time I tryed it was off after relining the gears ever thing worked .

I won a thruck that was stucked in gear tow it home removed the top realined the shift forks and put it back together works great some body was trying to drive it like a race car.

Souunds like you need a new comp. are the threads on the comp good ? you need to make sure before you try to put on a new pulley I might have a pully I will have to look.

That will work do you need a gauge if you do MP me I think I might have one I will check on that and let you know. If you still have the GP control card and it works there is a temp. senting unit that is on the left head that sends a sigle to the card when it is at right temp it cuts the power...
They will stay on until the engine warmes up watch your VM gauge you will see it go down them back up until the glug plugs cut off when the engine gets warm and them the VM Gauge will stay in the green.

I had Maccus on the phone the day I try to pick it up he had the tm and told me that the switch on the dash only switched the gauge from right to left and the tank valve was left beside the driver sit by the door right by the parking brake. We were burning up the phones he was trying to help...

That is what I am working on how to buy pass the selector valve I sent timntrucks a pm to see if he could tell me what size fiting went in the fuel filter and if the fuel line at the tank were the same as a duce or what size that fiting is so I could make up a metal line to but the rubber bypass...
