    Transmission function

Your original post made it sound like it would lock up on flat ground. Only my 2008 A1R will hold on a hill in neutral but only on an incline. If facing the decline it will roll forward. I've not tried to put it in R and back up a hill to test that hold direction. From what I've read it was a...

    55 in a m1070

45 mph is about it from that machine. It's not cost effective to regear it so next step is to put on larger tires. Unfortunately 16.00's are already on it so you'd be looking at buying a new set of civilian tires if you can find something but you'd need to do the math on how much space you have...

    Transmission function

Unclassified but limited to Government and contractors only according to the APD. The TM9-2320-391-23&P is what we need but it's an ETM so yeah. I have 5 A1/A1R trucks with the C7 ranging from 2003 to 2008 and none act that way. When slowing down to stop does it cause a sudden jerk or whip...

    New FLU419 Owner, Electrical Woes

I got into it and my harness is nice, no signs of critter interference. I had some progress as I cleaned all grounds in the dash and traced the system backwards to find the voltmeter was hooked up backwards and now reads a clean 24.8v. Correcting that gave me power to the auxiliary hydraulic...

    New FLU419 Owner, Electrical Woes

I'm getting back on it today. I did some deeeeeep google searching and ended up in the old SS archive that isn't searchable by the site itself. Someone had the exact same issue I have and when he pulled the air intake and fuse panels there were wires chewed up. I'm going to get into that to...

    FLU-419 - Instrument Cluster In-op

I'm pulling the alternator to check that relay though I don't have an explanation why that would cause such a fault.

LMTV M1078A1R - Battery Disconnect Reset Issue

Overview Enlarged by Module - 1/2/3/4 There's no relays or related controls under or behind the PDP modules, it's a rather spacious design. The transmission controller is mounted underneath like all the trucks but that's it. I dug into the dash more today and started cross comparing...

    FLU-419 - Instrument Cluster In-op

I've followed the TM and dug into the dash to identify this problem but no success yet. All electrical instrument gauges do no work with the exception of the high beam indicator and no charge light which are controlled by the power/ignition switch. The start relay under the hood had the starter...

    New FLU419 Owner, Electrical Woes

Do you have any more insight as to why a faulty regulator would lead to this issue of no dash power? I have the same issue as Jon did but I do have power to the high beam indicator and the charging control light comes on. My harness is uncut/not-rat eaten so I've got that going for me. No...

Behr Paint Code - Home Depot Update 2019

This is a heads up to the MV community and those who use Home Depot to mix their military color paints. I was informed by the paint employee that Home Depot is migrating away from their dedicated computer program and will be using a web browser based program to mix paints starting this Fall...

Buying a MK23...Am I making the right decision?

Take your pick: Recently released, not many in civilian hands. Not produced in numbers like the M939 series. Parts may be hard to find. Electronics mean complications. Not a lot of troubleshooting issue in the MV community for now. Most people think a 2.5 ton truck to be "big" then they see a...

LMTV M1078A1R - Battery Disconnect Reset Issue

I'm concluding your info is for the earlier generation A1 trucks with the CAT 3126 up to 2005. The truck I have is 2006 which has the CAT C7 and WEC 4/5 so it's a complete different setup. I do have a digital copy of the early A1 generation TM's but they've been no help on the issue due to the...

LMTV M1078A1R - Battery Disconnect Reset Issue

That's my next step actually. Trace the issue from the batteries on up. [thumbzup]

LMTV M1078A1R - Battery Disconnect Reset Issue

I have a 2006 M1078A1R that is having an odd issue related to the battery disconnect box. This truck is current gen so no TM help. Batteries are fresh, wired correctly, and voltages checked. Turning the battery disconnect to "on" will result in a satisfying click for power. This click sounds...

    Xm800?

Can confirm there were prototypes of the ISL/ISX in an M939 series truck and they shared the suspension of the MTVR. I'm sure they were test trucks for the MTVR program. Past that no, the M809 series would be too old for that type of upgrade.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

My sprayer is set below the prime pressure setting, it's almost on "roller". As for the camo pattern do an outline by hand with the brown then go back to fill in. Repeat with the black in case of any miscalculations.
