This might help.
This pic is looking into the trailer cable.
The drawing in the lower left is what you would see if you looked into the "plug"on the the back of the truck.
"If it aint raining, we aint training" & "Embrace the suck" come to mind when I think about the water tightness of the cab on my M818.
I too employ the "big ol tarp" when I want to keep the rain out of the cab while it sits.
The heavily loaded car trailers you used to tow with your yukon probably had trailer brakes. This thing will not have brakes. Going to be a handful behind your tow vehicle.
:) Nice timing on this question. This week Ive been using my 101 to haul gravel for a small job at work. This pic is 3200# in the trailer. You can hardly even noticed its squated down.
*edit* demil Q just means you have to fill out an EUC to own one.
Who needs a truck to buy parts for? I was therepoking around once and scored some good tool boxes. Sometimes you never know whats in those trailers that Glen buys just to scrap.
Again, Glen deserves more credit than we give him.
I needed spare for my 101a2 and at less than a days notice Glen had one for me.
Even though I didnt end up needing it, It was nice to know I had it there. (This was the first real long distance trip with the trailer, 1400miles)
Thanks Glen.
They weren't the trucks in this thread were they? http://www.steelsoldiers.com/general-gl-questions/91823-buyer-beware-gl-auctions.html You'll have to contact Warthog to find out the sale# and lot #'s for the trucks in that SNAFU
Has anyone contacted GL and informed them of the mistakes? I have seen mistakes in lot numbers before (in person) and told the GL rep onsite and the lots were pulled and re-listed later with the corrected photos.
Verify that the engine will shut down properly with a qwik pull of the shut off before you get on the trailer and find out the shut off cable doesnt work.
The MV housings use 2 seperate grounds. One on each mounting bolt. I would remove and check/clean each bolt mounting surface. It sounds like your lights are finding a ground through the other bulbs.
