Yes on the Optimizer but may depend on when it was built. There is a date code molded into the block. I will see if I still have the details on what the codes mean.

Your gear reduction starter requires the straight bracket. It is available at the dealer. that may be why you had a hard time mounting the starter and why the shop did not hook it up previously.

There is a circuit board for the low coolant light. It is near the horn relay and fuse box. It is about 1/3 the size of the glow plug card. I have seen them get very corroded. Remove it and check the contacts.

That kit is the correct one for the old style large direct drive 27MT starter.
However on closer inspection of their website, The 12v and 24v kits share the same part number. I would call and verify before ordering.
The smaller gear reduction starter uses a different kit.

On the low coolant light you can test the sensor on the radiator, unplug the wire and see if the light goes out.

If you feel that you need a diode in the horn circuit, NAPA does sell a new horn relay that has the diode built in. You will need to remove the diode on the horn relay socket.
Ft Sill, OK is one of them. Directive came straight from the base commander.

Many bases will not allow you to drive the truck off the base. It must be towed or trailered. Contact the base to find out.
