I have purchased a 6bt in a 90 Dodge tug with attached 727 transmission. I originally planned to run the original 400 behind the Cummins. There is nothing wrong with the 727 and last week a fairly nice 86 Dodge half ton, V8 727 241 came to the yard as scrap. Now I am thinking it may be easier on...
You will find that blacktop overlays will still transmit the concrete expansion cracks to the seat of your pants. Try US 81 between Yankton SD and Belleville KS.
I know the guys at Ft Riley's stress levels have dropped 75 percent since the new phone system went in. Most of the calls they were getting were people wanting to know if the trucks ran or if the tires were rotted... They are understaffed at Riley and always have a pile of things waiting to be...
I saved seven of the last 38 to sell. These trucks as a whole were pretty rough.... a lot of bad rust issues, a lot of wrecked noses and a few with broken axles or suspensions. I watched some like new 1400 Goodyears leave today, still aired up with lots of tread. It is hard to watch a lot of...
The newest batch of 105s are arriving. We apparently missed a 923 with a broken front axle. Nothing like an eleven ton missing chunk of iron. I am looking forward to the generator repair trailer....
I would! I love those back roads 42-45 mph cruises.... I would deliver those tires to Missouri Sunday in my deuce, but time is not going to allow for it. :(
Okay, I am back.... It is so much easier to back a trailer with a 923.... and boy howdy, do they have brakes. Why, yes they do...... and they work great. Not that the compression braking and down shifting Allison will not slow you down...
All I have to say about this is.... do not drive it! That 923/925 may be ugly, but was a great truck for the operator. We have several and I have been getting deeper into the green addiction. The steering, auto, torque monster and air brakes are very addictive.
