A few guys have turned four wheel drive Cummins powered pickups into streetable ten second quarter mile vehicles. Those trucks will easily out run 90 percent of what is out there. I am surprised nobody has suggested a 923A2 with the turbo charged engine, big tires, power steering, automatic...
You up for a new challenge? I have been missing your creations! We have a few 923 trucks with the Marine Corp container beds and tall sides. The bedsides are half length. I was thinking about bobbing a 923 and using half of the bed on 14 R 20 Goodyears or Michelins, maybe with a steering axle in...
When the air pressure is up, the truck should roll with the over ride button out. If the pressjre is low, the spring brakes should lock up the tires.
All of ours have a light on when the over ride is shoved in.
I would like a M920....
These 923s are pretty impressive when you start messing with them. I found one we had unloaded and I had not paid any attention to today, 8.9 hours and 138 miles. I hope the GL/Riley guys did not destroy the Cummins. It has two empty cans of starting fluid on the floor...
Like deuces, not all 923s were created equal. We have ten running now and a couple seem to have much more power than the rest. I am with Wreckerman, that auto sure is easier on the knees. I had no desire to own one until I drove Jeremy and Karl's 925s. Then we got a few in the yard and I have...
After work yesterday I swapped out batteries in a M923 and took it for a spin.
Today I got a Michelin 1100 X 20 off of the M923 and replaced it with a Goodyear. That truck now has all Goodyears in great shape. I took the Michelin and mounted it on a deuce wheel, then put it on the truck's...
You guys were correct, in the southeast corner of our lot lies a 923 that has been pretty well stripped. It has the cab plates and mounting legs, it is green though and does not match the sand colored gun ring, I suppose that even I could find matching paint for one or the other....
Thanks for your service and welcome to the forums. You will find a great bunch of guys here, a lot of knowledge and some stray opinions. If you ever have a burning desire to work on a deuce, I can fix you up! Glen
I know we had a green one with the reinforced cab ring in a hard top. I gave that to a me
ber who wanted it for his deuce. I should check for that truck to see if the hardware might be there...
I should look in the cab and see if they tossed the legs in there after torching off the mounting bolts. I will do that tomorrow. I know the soft top is down on the seat on the right side.
I moved that ring to my deuce and now have both in a burglar alarmed shop. That ring being in the yard was making me nervous, what is the value of one of those things?
