    802 dies, no overload fault

So the metering pumps appear to be clocked correctly... one may be leaking slightly (or its the fuel hose going to the barb, but very slight).... how about the above photo though? Did you let out the tension on the frequency adjustment knob up front? That rotating assembly should be touching or...

    802 dies, no overload fault

Yes if you can take a photo of the position of where the main fuel lines (off the hard line from the filter) go into the metering pumps.

    802 dies, no overload fault

I wouldn't adjust the governor just yet. I suggest you put a full can of seafoam in the fuel tank, and run it at 70-75% rated current figure you call out (before the issues start happening) for as long as your fuel allows (or make sure the tank is at least half full) and run it till its almost...

    MEP-802/803 load bank info

I have no horse in the race, but I don't think he was tryin to come off that like. For whatever its worth.

    MEP-802/803 load bank info

If the machine is new to you, just get it up to operating temperature and step it up to 100% rated load at whatever interval works best for your days timing. Me? If its new, I get it to temp and have no issue getting it to max load ASAP... I only take my time if its new in my hands. As...

    MEP-802A GP Win

I may have a spare knob and set screw for that style switch. Will have to look around.

    MEP-806b missing display

I don't have experience with that set, but I am almost certain its critical to function. I would say those sets, at this point, are worth what their parts alone will bring. The engines being the most valuable piece.

    MEP-802A GP Win

Looks like a good starting point to work with. That hose was just turned 90*, its supposed to be parallel with the engine block, sucking air from towards the generator head. Easy fix with a hose clamp adjustment. Reset quality has been getting worse and worse for years... you may find that the...

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

You will also want to replace the LOP sensor, if you havent done so (and put one in the parts box in your garage). The 00x are real robust machines.

    MEP 803A Fix-up Thread

If you have a valve hung up, very possible that the combustion gases are travelling down into the case from the pushrod tubes.

Mep002a spin on oil filter adapter

Filtration has come so far since this set rolled out, you can probably omit some of the canisters too, and have a BETTER system with less elements.

Mep002a spin on oil filter adapter

There are other styles out there too, depending on the size of what you are dealing with...

Mep002a spin on oil filter adapter

That should be no issue here. All of these filters and separators are mounted onto steel... which you can easily repurpose with alternate mounting holes or layouts. Just use some remote filter mounting heads, and run some new hoses...

    Mep-1050, mep-1051, 4-1050, 4-1051

That would be sweet if someone were able to reconfigure for 1PH output, with all of the digital wizardry on these sets.

MEP-802A Popping CB1 as Soon as the Unit is Switched to Pump/Prime

Which also brings to mind that your alternator may also not be working properly to recharge the cells under use. You should take the batteries somewhere they can be properly tested.

MEP-802A Popping CB1 as Soon as the Unit is Switched to Pump/Prime

You should start your own thread on this, maybe @Guyfang can help you out with that. Have you verifiied that your batteries are still good? It sounds like they are on the edge of failing.

Here are what the NIB look like :) . They are solid black, the vertical light lines are just from overhead lighting.

Hows the gauge panel look? You seem to be putting a lot of thought into making it 'right'. Many are very faded due to sun and age. If yours is not as nice as you want, I think I have a couple new in box gauge panels for the 002/003.
