I got that plastic piece from a marine canvas shop. dont know if they normaly carry it but they had what i asked for. think they called it edge bead.

there is no doubt about that! they can fall so quick and be so fatal. use the props and maybe even a little extra for added safety.

If the barrels are not swelled the rams should'nt be that expensive to have made. how did they get bent?

my M819 seems to have developed a issue in the turntable. we started out using it and switched to the M816. no time to dig into it yet. that should be a fun job hoisting that little crane off her perch. if it doesnt weigh to much more than 16,000 i can do it with the digger truck.

Andy, this is common. nothing to get worried about. the lower the temp is, the more this will happen as stated above.

Image 1125 shows where the bracket's have been rubbing together. i had to tweak the bottom pipe a bit on the M820 to keep the awefull racket down. mine was rubbing the same place as the one in the pic.

Am i missing something here?

No. these are just flat stock with the mount bolted to them. flap rods are straight. easily removed in a few seconds with 2 spring pins.

Another thing that i do is pull the ground cable off when parked for more than just a few hrs. i would rather have dissconects on them all but havnt done them all yet.the high capacity disconnects are quite expensive. when parked close to one another this is real important as i would be heart...
