I would recommend to pour in the gasoline first and then pour in the WVO or WMO (never both could jell). This way it will be mixed the best, other wise it could separate again in the barrel or be rich with gas in the top of the barrel. Or you could pump mix once blended.
I am also looking. I currently have two M923A2 BMY. One is a reset with the 1/2 numbers stamped about center of axle on left side of the frame. The non reset are un found so far.
I'm also new to the 5 tons. Recently scored 2 at GL with my two sons. Does anyone know what the max (or safe) speed of the 3 different tires are. I would prefer not to loose all my air at once in any tire while driving. Has anyone experienced a blowout? Does it give any warning (sound or bounce)?
My son converted his 101 into a dump trailer. It worked but like others said it is not designed to dump constantly. It will fail eventually. Since trying this a couple times my son has discontinued the dump practice and we bought a Bri-Mar dump trailer. I did read here or someone told me that it...
I'll be improving my set up compared to the small scale process using 5 gallon buckets. My avatiar will be my filter blending mobile trailer. When ever I get started I will post some pictures.
Remember blend settle filter. Time settling is your friend.
Planning on a recovery of a Gen trailer Wednesday 3 12 2014. Does anyone need me to look at anything while Im there? Dont give me a list of all trucks but I can look over a couple if that would help.
Thanks for the replies. I havent gotten back to the switch. Been out of town last couple days. I have sprayed the switch in the spring area but will try the light tapping trick. Ray70 your right what a job unhooking the wires. Not at that point yet and will hold out for some more alternate trys.
Got to testing my 002 today. It was in the up position (120volt 1phase). Tested ok and curiosity got me and I flipped the switch. Now in the left position and not moving. Spring back and forth but doesn’t go past 8:30 clock. Going to spray some wd40 in a couple minutes to see if it loosens up...
Referring to post #8. The pictures in the post.
All right I have to ask. Just getting into this military stuff more and more. In your picture of the MEP on the little HF trailer can I ask what paint you used to paint the genset? I will be going to the Expo in May at Ripkin field and I should be...
Any updates since 2011. Just learning about these gensets. Have one in the start up phase. Broke the governor linkage plastic ball socked and looking to replace when I get a chance.
Just got my MEP002a running this evening. I also found a broken governor link after running it once. It looks like someone before me (in Military) used a wire to hold it together at the ball. It broke completely once it got cycled several times with the solenoid.
I have bought several things a Meade. Most been just what is expected. A generator is a gamble. I bought a MEP 002a couple months ago and haven't had time to get it running yet but its in the garage now. All the power outages got me started again.
Talking to GL reps over the several trips I have...
