Only the water pump and backing plate get a gasket…they both come in the kit.
Also, replace your front crank seal before installing the Harmonic balancer.
I’ve done this procedure 3 times in my life, the oil pan does not use a gasket, the bolts won’t come off if you use red loctite and the fact it’s captive once the timing gear cover is reinstalled.
clean all the old RTV off the oil pan and clean with acetone, leave absolutely no trace of...
absolutely not, and why would you not want the DS removed, it’s 4 5/16 bolts and it’s a slip yoke.
you have way more work getting the tank out compared to that Task.
I had this happen on a customer truck…it’s a lot of work, radiator stack comes out, water pump backing plate, possibly even the timing gear cover housing, in my case, the woodruff key sheared off the Crank, I would have been happy to have had been the cam shaft…but noooo.
There is no schematic as it’s part of a kit…the instructions are in the kit and uses oil pressure gauge for power.
the new harness provided goes to the generator for source signal.

American Humvee, Blackdog customs , Retired war horses “Shameless plug”. I wouldn’t get concerned with where the trucks located, just factor in transportation costs into your price, it’s more important to get a mechanically sound truck not someones weekend project. If you can do your own work...
just buy a quality 3.5mm diesel rated drain back line, I buy it in 100ft rolls for the shop.
Diesel rated has a yellow stripe on the braided covering.
Almost every truck from auction needs new lines when they arrive into the shop, most of the time the
hose used during reset was a non-fuel rated...
Straight 15w-40 from any company works fine…Diesel engine oil has a detergent due to high ash content.
Most off brands are all made by the same refinery’s
Your waiting on parts that have zero to do with a running healthy motor…The hose is off the top of the injec pump because GP attempted to make it run,t hey get more money for running trucks.
while you may get fuel from the over flow, does not mean the pump is any good. you will get fuel from the...
