You need to look at the ratings. All of the 15W40 oils that I have seen are rated for both "C" and "S" applications. The "C" representing compression ignition and the "S" representing spark ignitiion.
Both Shell Rotella and Delo's datasheets specify that the oil is recommended for four stroke...
So is is luck of the draw or do all of the new flame heater injectors lead? The very early flame heater systems had solenoid valves; are these "new" injectors designed for the early engines?
Because it is really not THAT critical for most people's usage. I kept the #2 cables when I converted from gas to multifuel. Didn't have a problem until it got to down to 4F and the short #4 cable between the two batteries got hot. Replaced it with a short #2 and it works fine. 2/0 will...
No, it is not the "90 degree 2-phase" system referenced in your article and I realize that it is "incorrect" to refer to split phase as 2 phase. This is unfortunate because split phase has more in common with 120/208 wye than the "2-phase" oddity.
Dave,
This may be an argument of semantics (and I have not read the whole thread to know the background behind your answer) but split phase is two phase power. It is two 120V L-N separated by 180 degrees versus three 120V L-N separated by 120 degrees in three phase 120/208V Y. Static phase...
I made several mods to my truck to improve hard starting: holley encomaster carb which is less susceptible to heat soak, electronic ignition with civvy distriibutor for hotter spark, and 12V armature to spin it over faster.
Not the same thing. You either need to use the original M35 wire with some means to hold the connector in the Parker pump OR adapt the bayonet connector that comes with the Parker pump to your M35 wire.
Since the wires are soldered to the sockets, the bayonet connector which comes with the pump can be swapped on to the original wire from your old pump.
It turns out that there are two different TD military blocks. The LD and early LDT blocks that I have are squared off around #6 while the later LDT are rounded on the passenger side with two ribs extending vertically on each side of the frost plug at the rear of the block. The tractor pulling...
Excerpted from Oliver, Cletrac, Co-op & Cockshutt Tractors Discussion Board - Re: 2-155 cummins conversion I have NO idea if it is accurate.
There are some differences in the 478 used in the Army trucks and the ones used in the tractors. The blocks are the same casting but the tractor engines...
