Pulling tractor with a deuce engine

I'll admit to not having the pan off of one but the TM clearly shows that the rod bolts are not through-bolts.

Pulling tractor with a deuce engine

A few have checked on ARP rod bolts which ended up being too expensive. I wonder if there is room for a short stud/nut? Might be cheaper.

    where to buy sprag

If I recall correctly, you can use another good used rear to replace your front. I should have one if you need. I also have a REB kit which can be used to replace your sprag section (also for sale). PM me if you are interested. However, if you have easy access to an air shift, that is a...

lds wastegate turbo on an M35

I believe that the compressor outlet was 3". It requires a different intake elbow. I won't be able to get back to the truck until after Christmas; will post something then.

Pulling tractor with a deuce engine

Well, one guy broke enough blocks in one season to justify a custom billet block. Question is at what power does it break and is it worth it to tempt fate when you can do a 5.9 for less $.

    alternative steering options the deuce

Garrison advertises that they will custom make an S shaped end for the valve to keep it parallel. They really offer ALL of the parts to do this swap. About Garrison Manufacturing 800-203-1894 Yes, I have called and talked to tech support over the summer. I decided not to go with their...

Pulling tractor with a deuce engine

The block won't hold up; #6 breaks off. One tractor puller is using a billet block. Too much $$ when a 5.9 is an easy swap.

    alternative steering options the deuce

Just want to point out that these valves came with two different size ball studs. Garrison told me that they can supply (machine) ball studs to mate the valves to the deuce steering components. That way you woulnd't have to weld things together.

Converting the multi-fuel to pure diesel...

If you need an engineer with experience, hire an engineer with experience (and expect to pay accordingly). It is extremely naive to expect a new hire to be well versed in everything. College teaches the basics of applied science; the details are aquired on the job. If you are not happy with...

    lds 427 headgasket questions

Take a look at page 49 of "Troubleshooting Manual LDS-465 1 Multifuel Manual" which talks about head gaskets for the LDS-427-2.

lds wastegate turbo on an M35

I did the swap over the long weekend. The turbo clears the starter solenoid in its stock position by about 3/8". I am sure that it would be better to clock the starter but there was no apparent heating of the starter (cool to the touch after running down the road) The LDT oil supply line...

Converting the multi-fuel to pure diesel...

Broadly speaking internal combustion engines are either spark or compression ignition (diesel). Lacking spark plugs, it would appear that the "multifuel" is a compression ignition engine . The efficiency of the "multifuel" would be increased with the lower compression ratio but it...

    bolt on power steering kit

The garrison system is still supported but parts are very expensive. A new valve is $1200. A benefit of the HF54 box is that you have fewer turns lock to lock. The conversion required very few modifications and is essentially a bolt on mod.

So I had this crazy idea, how about this for an engine for my A3...

    bolt on power steering kit

The hydraulic assist (ie. HF54 box and Garrison system) is fail safe against fluid loss.
