I've been using ethanol fuel for the last 20 years in all of my vehicles (diesels excluded); 10 of those with a 302 as my daily driver without a problem.

I have a set of the newest multifuel head gaskets which are made by Victor Reinz and have part number 5818. This part number was released by Victor Reinz in 2005
The link references part number 5818, Hercules D4800, and manufacturer "Mahle/clevite"...
Copper (used for fuel lines) is known to be incompatible with biodiesel:

Biodiesel will degrade and form high sediment levels if contacted for long periods by copper or copper containing metals...
The "LDS465-1 Troubleshooting Manual" shows the same hexagonal flame heater nozzle in a flame heater system with the solenoids. I suspect that it needs the solenoid to not leak.
