What to the White tractors use for bolts/studs on their connecting rods. Remember the thread about tractors having the "same" engines as deuces. I think it was a White 2-135 or something. I would think those connecting rod bolts/studs would be newer production if they are still available. Are...
I'm going to my parents tonight, ill try to get it done then. If i cant get it done tonight, ill bring it to work and upload them here. It might be faster than my dinosaur computer at home.;-)
Thanks a lot for your help Acehigh! I was thinking about getting one of these cranes, but my exact thought about the distance of the chainfalls. According to the TM, the MEP-002A is 37 inches tall. I think the same goes for the MEP-003A incase somebody is wondering. It looks like the crane is...
I had the fronts at 40 and the rears at 18. It seemed to work real well. Some stuff I got stuck on I could have picked my speed up just a little and made out better. Crawling along and slipping on some wet rocks is what got me a couple times. So I just flip the switch for the front axle quick...
Do you think one of those bomb hoists would have enough clearance to lift a MEP-002A in the back of a deuce? I dont know if it would be tight between the chain falls and the lift hook on the generator. Anybody have a picture of things they loaded in a deuce with a bomb hoist? :D
Did you lubricate the bearings before you buttoned it all back together? I started out driving mine in low range first, because the low range bearing will not spin and the high range gear will only spin at half the speed of the input shaft. My theory here was to let oil sling around with less...
Ok Spicergear, will do. I dont know when I'll be able to get my dad's camera, but I'll see if I can get it soon and get the videos up. I have some good pictures of your mog going through the trails.... I think you'll like them!
I need remote vent lines for my truck too. I put in another take-out speedometer adapter and i think it fixed the problem. I found one where th seal felt good like it fit tight around the shaft.... better than the one i took out of mine. It still continued to drip some, but I think it is just...
Check and see if you have power at the headlight bulbs. Run a test jumper across the brake light switch and see if your bubls turn on.
Anybody that is electrical savy, i started a thread that shows how i had a bad solder joint in My turn signal switch that caused me problems. It was a long...
i think you should be able to do that just by hooking up a hose to the rear emergency glad hand. just be sure not to go over 120 PSI. I dont think there is a check valve in there to block the air from going back.
It seems like I remember seeing a thread where somebody used a gama goat column in their deuce with power steering. I thought the column mount was the same as a deuce... can you look in the TM's to see what the part number is and see if the one on the deuce is the same thing? I thought they...
I mounted my flasher on the firewall instead of the fender. The vibrations the inner fender had, I can see why they go bad sometimes. I mounted mine on the firewall and have not had a problem with one going bad after that. I am not saying there is not a heavier duty flasher out there, but it...
Here are the pictures I had on my phone. My dad was taking a lot of pictures with a regular camera and I will have to get those and post them up and also put the you tube videos on here. I’m not sure how to connect the video to the website like I have seen before, but I will figure it out. I...
I had a great time guys! now i have to get to changing my knucle boots like i wanted to do before the rally. haha! Thanks for everything and it was great seeing everybody. I will try to get some of the pictures uploaded today on my lunch break! :)
thanks. i really hope i get it fixed. good thing the speedometer adapter is not hard to change. i also removed the check valve from the vent. we'll see how that works... it can only help. It was not stuck before... but still... never know.
Any updates on this thread? I think the speedometer adapter on my truck is leaking and I would like to get a seal for it. I was wondering if this seal worked or not. It is always nice hearing a success story!
bad news, my transfer case is still leaking oil. it might be coming from the speedometer adapter seal. I might be going up to Kublos tomorrow, so maybe i can get another adapter and see if that fixes it. I didnt take it apart, but if i can get another take out one and try it to see if it works...
Any specs to how much the input shaft should move in and out under torque? It does not seem like it should at all.... but you never know. Like I said, it is only a VERY little bit. It sounds nice and quiet with no unusual noises.
Was it low on oil when you drained it? its the plug on the right side that points up a little bit. fill to the bottom of that hole. its about 7 quarts i think. someone might want to correct me if i am wrong.
