    Flame heater cutoff

I never understood how a flame heater can leak fuel into the crank case from the flame heater. The only place it can leak is at the flame heater injector and even then, the fuel would get burned. Correct me if I am wrong. It seems a lot of people say leaking flame heaters can dilute engine...

    stuck piston rings

My M109 smokes quite a bit more than my M35 does. The M109 has an LDS and its not a black smoke like the pump is turned up... more blue smoke and i dont understand it. The engine looks clean and nice, but who knows with these trucks how long it sat before I got it. My brother came up for...

Aux Fuel Tank for the Manifold Flame Heater

Using this set up, do I still need to have a return line coming from the flame heater nozzle (and go back to my kerosene tank) similar like it was originally? Can I just put a 1/8” NPT plug in the return port on the flame heater nozzle?

    My m756aa2 restore update

That is my favorite variant also... I would love to have one of those with an LDS! I cant wait for more of your pictures! Post lots of them!

1950s/60s side racks for M101 and M105 trailers

I dont think WWII stuff ever had un-painted side racks.... it does not seem like they would switch to unpainted, then go back to painted in the 70's. Thats just my guess.

I looking for winch parts m35a2

If your bronze gear is worn out, be sure that the worm gear is not rusted/pitted. That will eat up a bronze gear over time.

    Parking Brake Cable Routing

Yes, i realize that. The cable I have was the one that came with the truck. What is the difference between the two cables? I did not think the cables were interchangable at all. I have the adjustable handle parking brake. I was going to check out the parking brake cable this weekend but ended...

    Flasher failures

I often thought about going this route, but I only had a couple fail and got a used one to fix the problem. I just dont have the heart to cut the factory wires. If I can tet the connector out of my old flasher, I would be al set.

    Parking Brake Cable Routing

It just seems like a silly sharp angle on the cable as the sleeve bolts to the brake assembly. I would think it would wear the cable in that spot and cause it to fail faster. Maybe this weekend I will swap out my parking brake handles and see if I can route it under the crossmember. Its funny...

    Damage From Running Split Boot?

Mine needed to be replaced 2 years ago. Im hoping this sunday I can do them. I was thinking about ordering new spindle bushings just incase, but i haven't yet. i think i can get away with doing the axle seals and boots only. Ill check the spindle bushing and kingpin bushings when I do the job. I...

    Parking Brake Cable Routing

That sure is a long song Gimp. Everytime I hear that song, I think of the Home Improvement episode where Tim scares his kids at Halloween. I guess you'd have to have watched Home Improvement to know what im talking about. haha! I know how the cable comes out of the cab, then has the anti wear...

    Parking Brake Cable Routing

I looked on all the threads on here and looked in the TM to see how the parking brake cable gets routed. When I bought my deuce, the parking brake cable was routed above the transfer case mount/bar on the driver’s side. this causes a sharp angle right where the sleeve of the parking brake cable...

    Banjo fitting not sealing

I forget how mine look exactly, but I do remember my expeierience with them before as to make sure the correct side goes toward the wheel cylinder. Sometimes it does not matter, but part of the fitting on the brake hose may be hitting a part on the wheel cylinder preventing the fitting from...

    Bigger Exhuast

The exhaust on the Deuce is 3.5 inch. I often thought about going to a 5 inch stack right after it exits the fender and still trying to make it look stock. It sounded awesome after I slipped a 5 inch stack extension over the tip of my Deuce exhaust :) but right now, it works and I am no way...

m35a2 has no power to anything electrical

Clean the battery posts and make sure your cables have a good connection. Sometimes if there is a bad connection, they connection will arc and create an open circuit. Check ALL the battery connections and the connections on the starter and starter relay with a wench to see if they are tight. You...

    CUCV vs. Slave Cable

I just wish I had a slave cable to worry about! It seems like everybody wants an arm and a leg for them. I am still using regular jumper cables. They work ok, but do not have the cool factor that slave cables have. I never slaved anything off my truck. Someday... :D

    MEP-002a Panel light bulb

My panel light bulbs have a coating over the bulb to give off green light. Why would this be? I am thinking about removing the coating to make it clear light thus making the lights brighter. The gauges are hard to see when it is dark out even with the lights on. I dont think I have the switch...

    Deuce Bomb Crane?

I like that idea. It would be like seeing the M816 Wreckers with the cargo cover on them. It looks neat! When i was at rausch creek this weekend, Shenkmen had new bows on his cargo cover on his deuce. they had more of an arch in them than my factory metal bows on my deuce. I wonder if a little...
