GP listing says sf97 now available for hmmwv

I'm going to hedge my bet and say titled for off road use only. It's a step in the right directions but still no game changer.

LMTV and Gov Planets oil sample analysis

You also have to factor in hot vs cold sample for these tests as they will vary greatly. It still comes down to the gamble at the end of the day.

Juan Prado's XM1073 trailer repair thread

I asked if those were the trailers down the street from GSA, I thought I recognized them. Good buy!

How to register a modified 5-ton in TX?

It does look intended to haul vehicles. If you were to install tool boxes, small crane/hoist, etc you could get away with registering it as "utility truck". If it's anything for hauling vehicles like a wrecker in any way they will reject you because you have to be a licensed tow truck driver...

    M1008 in video game....Video

It's a PC game and quite fun to play since there's no clean up afterwards. I haven't played in a while so the CUCV is new content. Best played with friends and a good computer but be prepared for a few bugs. Here's a few screen shots for the "lols". Pics: #1 - Dynamic Lighting #2 - TP Express...

Spare tire holder for 395/85r20 tires

I'm in this situation as well with my M915A1. The largest issue is trailer clearance when making tight turns.

Tires out of Red River Army depot (Hooks, TX)

The tires are usually a mixed batch from my experience, most 11x20 NDTs I get are 80%+ some with water inside. I've seen batches like 98G described too. You're doing yourself a favor trying to scope them out first but they will not unstack them for you for inspection.

M923A2 - Loss of Power While Driving

Starting off simple here...have you changed your fuel filters? It's possible gunk could have clogged your filters and settled when the truck sits only to be stirred back up and clog again.

    M915A1 Info

I just did the same and will turn 65mph at 1800~rpm with the 395s. It's an excellent upgrade for these trucks.

M989A1 from Deridder LA to Tucson AZ, or store it in LA

I highly encourage you not to triple up. Rolling 33K lbs in tow + tires and gear (more than double the rated tow rating) on crappy Louisiana highway is a disaster waiting to happen not to mention legal issues here in Texas. I did this for an emergency pull before for 104 miles and wouldn't do it...

Transmission and transfer options for 818 (809 series.)

M915 has a 2" kingpin that accepts 2.5" kingpin so it still works. Edit: corrected w/ source.

how hard do you drive it

I'm running 37s on my M1028 and cruse about 60 mph getting 18 highway/16-ish city. I have a ton of tools in the back (literally), I ran across the scales at 7400 lbs without me in it. I did flat tow a M1008 behind it for 120 miles at 55 mph and got 14 mpg. As I look at it I weigh as much as a...
