I am more inclined to think that it just primed it self and started on its own. You can gas it and ether it till **** freezes over but if there is no diesel coming out of the injectors that engine is not going to run.
I just put in Full syn 75/90 in my trans. I was going to go with the correct 30-50W motor oil but from the seal problem I went with a little thicker stuff.
I searched 220 posts in the deuce Forum that stated U joint and "Think" I found the correct Jack shaft part number.

Anyone have any other Cross reference numbers?
(This is the U joint for the shaft from the Transmission to the T case with the bolt on plates)
Maybe it quit working or sucked up some junk and stopped the impeller and when you stopped it fell off the impeller and started working again.
Once again hard to diagnose over the Web.
