You're welcome. Pulled these out of the recycling. Dimensions are approximate, and you need to round/bevel the bottom of the rear plate to fit as well as beveling the top of it, and the door I wound up taking off about an 1/8".
YMMV.
PS: I'm "sick" of having to futz around with camera...
Um, if I can dig 'em out of the recycling. Not sure they're necessary. Eyeball the images I posted, and you can make them yourself.
Templates I made out of cardboard. Basically a rectangle for the back (you could make it wider), I wanted space on the side for a speaker, radio antenna switch...
Finally got around to completing a glovebox of my own design. Made up some cardboard templates for 1/8" aluminum, did some fitting, assembly, measuring, drilling, put cup holders on the former radio deck, also drilled location for a fan - then ordered a second one for the passenger side.
Also...
I put those plans/pictures on a laser copier at work, one figure at a time per 8-1/2x11 page, pumping up the contrast/density settings until I could actually read it.
STILL took me a while to figure out the 3.25" number.
SAME issue with the commander's seat cutting on the battery box frame. I...
I used the screws. Thought about using rivets, then used the screws. The kit I got had "extra" rivets, and TWO bags of the 8-32 screws/nuts, but NO allen screws. If you had enough rivets long enough to fit through both plates (inside floor and bottom backer) plus floor panel, go for it. I'd...
Here's a twist.
I'm seriously considering buying a small tractor-loader-backhoe (Kubota BX25D) due to cost constraints and I'm not planning on doing any serious farming on my place in TN (might not grow soybeans and let the gov't pay me).
For the occasions I MIGHT want to plow, till or disc...
I put a Mictuning 21.5" amber/white LED light bar on my truck, just drilled into the winch "panel"/front bumper.
At 120 Watts, 24 Volts, steady current draw is 5 Amps. I used a wiresizer calculator/app for a 3% voltage drop (0.72V) at 50% surge OVER (7.5A) and found 18 gauge was fine, 16 gauge...
Oh, also finished installing the high-back driver's seat. I like it. Not sure if/when I'll add some back-tilt to it like I did the commander's seat (posted here a couple weeks ago), but it's an easy fix. Next job is dropping the transfer case and replacing some driveshafts.
Got the truck into the garage. Ins. will want to know it's garaged. Tight fit but I CAN move around it, will have more room in a few weeks when my son goes off to grad school, drums get packed and moved into his room along with several of the boxes of stuff he's collected. Bench and coffee...
I bought this on the recommendation of someone here months ago:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002KO0QS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It worked, but only because I had a couple of 4" 1/4-20 screws, nuts and washers, none of the threaded parts in the kit fit.
Situational awareness. Thanks, marchplummer.
I was directed to the "sticky" regarding insurance. The situation is fluid, the sticky not entirely up to date.
No doom-gloom intended (not directed at YOU) , that's merely "projection" on the part of others reading into my post.
Consider it FYI...
