Using the deuce for emergency power generation

Not sure what you mean by "frequency issues"? It is due to losses in the conversion from mechanical to electrical energy.

    Does anyone double-clutch?

A neighbor lost a leg a few years ago when his son started a tractor in gear. Unless you have the transfer case PTO with it's pump, you are not properly lubricating your transfer case in neutral.

    Does anyone double-clutch?

Not according to the parts manuals that I have seen. Straight cut gears are often used in the lower gears but helical are for the uppers.

    Old 331 gas deuces?(M108)

I find it a little hard to believe that an M135 can achieve 14 mpg. I had a 302 powered 1/2 ton pickup with 3:08 gears and it got 19-20mpg at 55 mph. This is fairly typical based on conversations with other folks running similar engine/ rear gears. You have a lot more weight and frictional...

How is this worse than the mutifuel? There, I've said it. Flame away......

    Cylinder head port and polishing

don't forget the money that'll have to be spent on new gaskets.

    cast and camber

Caster can be adjusted by rotating the axle forward or backward. You should be able to do it with tapered shims. Adjusting camber would require cutting and welding the axle housing. I have read about it being done on a rockwell but it looked like a LOT of work....

    glow plugs on deuce?

Waukesha used glow plugs in their diesel engines at least as far back as 1950. It is NOT a new technology.

running a multi (LDT) w/o fan and or radiator

I'd always understood gasoline EGT to be higher than diesel. Also keep in mind that the diesel is taking full gulps of cold air whereas the gas is not. I think the risk is small if you can keep the time on the order of a minute or two and the load light.

    radiator expansion/recovery tank

It holds a half gallon. The one at Walmart is almost exactly the same as: Seakamp Engineering - Coolant Overflow Recovery Tank but a lot less $$$. There are valid reasons for keeping the air out of the cooling system. It also makes it easy to check the coolant level.

    radiator expansion/recovery tank

Walmart sells a decent overflow tank for $11. Has worked fine on my deuce. There's really no need to do anything fancy for a remote master cylinder fill. Just get a remote reservoir from a late model pickup with manual tranny. I got mine for $5. Make sure you use a tubing compatible with...

    White W-390; The other multifuel

200HP upgradeable to 220HP. I'd scan in the text but it probably won't be legible. When was the LD series developed?

    White W-390; The other multifuel

The White Motor Company developed, under contract to the Army, their own multifuel engine in 1958 using the Reo V-8 engine platform. It used a precombustion chamber and a spherical main combustion chamber. "Even at -36F, the engine started with gasoline or diesel fuel the moment the starter...

    Old 331 gas deuces?(M108)

As Barrman indicated, there are several things that can be done to make the gas engine a litle more user friendly. I found my hot start problem to be significantly alleviated by using a newer holley carburetor and a 12V armature in the starter. A civvy distributor and pertronix didn't...

    remote MC ?s

I got a remote clutch reservoir from a local salvage yard for $5. Mounted it on the firewall so I can open the side cover for inspection/ fill. Make sure you use tubing rated for brake fluid. I used EPDM for Dot 3.

    before I install this transfer-case...

I replaced the seals in my xfer case last year. I had to remove the retainers and use a drift and a large hammer to pound them out.

Radio Shack also sells the above toggle switch.

    air shift axle conversion

I have had several sprag transfer cases. None of which were broken or maladjusted (at least not the sprag section!). The fact is the sprag elements wear out and the transfer case gets a bad rap because of it. This is why they all work in reverse but not forward.

Mech. starter Solenoid Vs. Electically Actuated Starter

I think that you'll be money and time ahead to just get the right starter built for you.
