A very simple, limited and mild trail ride- the best you could hope to get for the training areas at Benning- is a far cry from the style of wheeling you would find at on off road park like the GA rally has.
The whole point is that teh four wheeling draws people to the GA rally. You might get...
A group driving a mild tank trail is a far, far cry from of road park style wheeling. Anything you got permission to do at Benning would be very mild and very limited- not at all like what you find at the GA Rally.
Being certified to use and draw ranges and training areas at Benning, and having worked with range control and enviornmental there, I would say the chances of them allowing a group of civilians to go rooting around the tank trails come somewhere between slim and none.
A limited drive very...
A big event in Columbus would be great.
I remember the GAMVPA events in Helen, those were a blast. The location was perfect- you had a tourist town, it was close enough to the main drag that lots of tourists came through and were introduced to the hobby, food joints abounded and the hotels...
I have too much to bring, so here is a partial list- if someone is interested let me know and I will make sure it makes the .
Canvas manual bags $10
AS-3916 antennas, NOS, $50 each
Military cots $35 (you guys need something to sleep on, right?)
Various small and large metal tool boxes and gear...
Not just you. I always make sure I know the cost of recovery if I can't do it myself, and that I have someone to do it.
The ony way to bid smart is factor in the bid, premium, tax, recovery costs, and preview costs- add all that and you have your real, to the door purchase price.
Too easy. Inspector is an idiot anyway, and doesn't know what he is looking at.
Upgrade your genset.
Since the inspector doesn't know crap about military gensets go here:
Generators & Equip.
And upgrade your data plate. The first one lets you stamp whatever rating you wnat on it....
Driving off the lot in an seemingly intact vehicle that you don’t have registered, don’t know the true condition of, don’t know the history of, that you know was old enough or broken enough to be deemed unneeded by the military, was passed over by other groups who had the chance to get it for...
5 people already in this thread with problems with Government Liquidations payment system.
I wonder how much extra money they make from people that suck it up and pay default fees based up Government Liquidations screw ups?
Because they have a monopoly, and they simply don't care. The only thing they care about is things that may be a threat to them getting this contract again when it is rebid.
That is why I always say we need to type out "Government Liquidation" in these threads and not say GL. That way the...
I also have had the same problem. It is a common Government Liquidation issue.
As said, if you raise **** and threaten to contact your congressman and the DLA inspector general, they will "be nice" and waive the default fee.
One of two things is going on here. Either they have hired a...
You don't get a paid in full invoice until the EUC clears.
Government Liquidation will have your money, you will have paid in full, but they won't mark your invoice paid in full until the EUC clears.
Expect anywhere from 40-100 days for your first EUC to clear. Yes, that is a perfect example...
Thanks guys- these are great!
It is all the variations like this that make the "100% original" restoration guys heads spin. And I love it- 18 years working on green stuff for the Army has shown me that there is no marking that is 100% the same all the time on any vehicle.
