I think the upgrade to the load carrying ability is heavier springs, not axle, but the A2 will carry more than you want to pull with the gearing on the 1009.
An A2 would probably be better for you. The axle width will more closely match the 1009, and it should have 1008 size wheels and tires...
A 105 is larger than a 101, made to go behind 2.5 ton vehicles and larger.
Here is what I have seen from personal observation-
101- parking brakes only, M37 wheels, old style park brake handles.
101A1- parking brakes only, M37 wheels, new style park brake handles
101A2- 8 lug axle and surge...
In NC they will send a sample with oil in it to a lab that tests for the dye.
They also send any sample that comes back red to the lab to test for dye.
That started after a few guys beat the charges by claiming they had added ATF to the fuel and that is why it was red. Now the lab report is...
I sell them, and have sold several to folks using them for that. I think if I was going to I would rig some sort of heat exchanger- heck you could drop one inside a 35 gallon drum of water, and drop that inside the larger drum of oil. As long as you keep the flame down enough that the water does...
Quite simply, it is a case of classic government bureaucracy expanding, then protecting its turf.
An EUC was supposed to be for things like small arms ammo (back when they sold it), aircraft, and items that truly would hamper national security if they fell into the wrong hands. It was never...
I recently aquired a few stencil cutting machines, and am looking for pictures of some of the "non-standard" stencils found in vehicles. I know how the bumper numbers, tire pressure, and the other "normal" stencils are done.
I am looking for pictures of the hood markings inside, no smoking...
I always keep both in all my vehicles.
In fact I have a large fully stocked aid bag in my daily driver that goes stays there, and smaller military vehicle kits in all my vehicles. On longer trips in my other vehicles I swap the aid bag out into it.
It helps that I sell military and civilian...
Actually that looks like the mount for the M11 Decontaminating Apparatus. It looks and works much like a fire extinguisher, but is pressurived by a nitrogen cartridge and always kept empty unless the real threat of use was there.
They spray a nasty chemical known as DS2, that will indeed...
As far gone as that one is, best bet for it is drag it to the scrapyard while scrap is up.
Should swing about $1200+ in scrap for it.
Then buy one from GL.
It doesn't go between the rails- the rails fit to the inside of the frame. The MEP-016 series is surrounded by an aluminum frame, and the set itself sits several inches above the ground with only the rails to the outside of the set actually touching the ground.. Those rails fit to the inside of...
If I remember right those rails go on the inside of the frame for a MEP-016. I am positive they MEP-016 series is what goes there, in fact the whole reason for the diesel engine upgrade for them instead of replacing them with newer units was that the newer units would not fit in the pioneer...
Looks like for now the only MV I will be bringing if I come is a 101 trailer- but on the bright side, it will be full of goodies to sell!
I have a stencil machine that does 1" stencils, anyone need custome stencils done?
Anyone need any military cots for the campground?
It is thier way of making it more difficult to refuse a pickup based on a bad description or the wrong pictures.
Government Liquidation is notorious for using the wrong pictures on a lot or describing it wrong- because many of the folks are lazy or don't care. That truck with what looks like a...
Bump- nobody wants a free M101 trailer if you deliver the other one?
You take the wheels and sideboards off one trailer, put them in the other trailer, bring that trailer to me and I will give you another set of wheels and tires for the trailer you are keeping.
Towing an M101 290 miles= free...
Batteries- any auto parts store.
Myself- no matter what, I won't try to drive something right off a GL lot across town, much less across the country. You simply don't know enough about the condition of the vehicle, a vehicle that was used hard, turned in, not picked by any of the many agencies...
