Yes Joe, that is the manual for the digital version.
Amazingly enough, the post office actually delivered things early yesterday. The analog 480 and the 160 luminosity probe both showed up yesterday afternoon. The power leads were without insulation. Once I replaced that. I put in the probe...
The drive went great over there. It attacked the hills with more power than before and did great running around town with Colton. But, since I had retarded the timing since the initial test drive I wrote about above. I didn't have the power I had on that one drive.
Then coming home in 93°...
You might find one that hasn't been exposed to engine heat for the past 30 years and isn't ready to crack as soon as you look at it wrong. Chances are low however. If you want to stay all original, then you may go through a few until you find one that holds coolant. JBWeld does fix the...
I went through the exact same thing last month on RED Andy. Under dash relay click, nothing under the hood. Put a meter on the purple wire at the solenoid and power was getting to it. Pull the starter, test it and all good. Put it back on and it worked. Once. Then back to under dash click...
Just remember 4.25-4.8 mpg no matter how you drive with the OA331. At least that has been my experience. Something to keep in mind before you throw the high bid.
I have a pulse adaptor for a timing light that works by clamping onto the injector metal line. I have found it has to be on a straight section of line, not even near a bend. How the ground clip is attached and how far from the clamp makes a difference as well.
Calling Tiny Tach does seem like...
I have done enough IP replacements that I really wasn't looking forward to the sore arms and shoulders that result from doing one arm pushups for a few hours. So I built up a nice thick row of seat cushions on the valence. It worked great. Except, now my ribs hurt. Oh well, the IP and...
Thank you again for collecting such a good set of injectors Joe.
I agree about not being able to do all of this while I built the engine and truck up. However, I couldn't afford to. Plus, I now know more about the way a pump can go bad, ip timing and hopefully, will be able to say how much...
The "boss" or rather dad/owner of the injection place called me last week. He apologized several times that it wasn't done yet. Then he asked me what I meant by "4911 settings" on the ip calibration. I explaned what I had and what it was in. He was kind of hesitant talking until then. Once he...
Wrong side of the country, but ABLinn in NC had a few M60 chassis and engines sitting around the last time I was at his place. He was getting close to selling out for retirement and that has been a few years. Maybe a source for a spare parts stash.
Welcome to Steel Soldiers. This comes up a good bit and several threads have been written about it in the past that cover all the details.
Basically, any stock square body truck a/c system will work. You will have to move some things around on the firewall and figure out a way to mount the...
Another Gasser owner chiming in with it sounds normal.
I found on 90° plus days that 48 mph on the highway was the happy speed engine temperature wise. Pulling a heavy load in the heat 42 in 4th and around 35 in 3rd seemed to be the right rpm to keep moving and below 200°.
Having to floor...
The Cowdog is up to 3,000 miles now. I had an oil leak at the front of the engine that I traced back to the turbo oil return hose. I ended up buying a foot of the stuff online and just replacing what came with the Banks kit. Their instructions say it is a silicone 3/4" hose. But, the blue turbo...
