Looks great Keith, I've been waiting to see it with the decals on. The flat black ones look like they worked out great. And of coarse I really like the yellow for the seabee it really makes it stand out well on the door. Maybe I'll get a chance to see it in person on July 17th as I'll be...
Yes, you can bring parts to sell if you would like. Last year we advertised it as a Show and swap meet and only one guy brought anything to sell, so we left the swap meet part off the descriptions this year because we figured nobody wanted to bring stuff. As for the MMMT yes most definately...
Looks great! I'm sure you guys drew quite the looks rolling down the road. what show did you guys go to? The AuSable Rally? How was the turn out? All you northern guys need to convoy down for this show in september...
Well it's getting close to that time of year again for the Military Vehicle Show in Silver Lake Michigan. The Show is on saturday September 15th 2007. This will be the second year for this show and it just seams to be getting better and bigger. Plus vehicle entry is FREE! I meet several Steel...
Here is a link to the thread about how to fix the door latch.

Do a search for door handle. We have covered this several times and I have written up a couple of ways to fix it. It is a very easy fix though, a ten minute job.
Yep, It was Tom now that I think of it. I talk to hundreds of people each day here at the shop, and names all start to run together after awhile. But much thanks for getting the Silver Lake MV Show up and listed there.
Hi, John, I believe I had talked to you yesturday about the Silver Lake show on Sept. 15. Thank you for the call. I did notice though that the Silver Lake Military Vehicle Show didn't make the on-line calender, but the Appleton WI show on Sept. 8th and 9th is listed twice. and would be about...
It seems that no matter how tight you pull your canvas cover to tie it down you always seem to get some flapping of the roof section against the bows. Well, when I was having a rip repaired in my canvas cover from the flapping, I had the canvas shop add two extra eyelets to each end of the...
Tom, I just sent your decals out with our daily UPS so look for them in a few days. I also cut you a couple of extra stars for the trailer out of the drop material while I was at it. Hope you like them, enjoy.
I've been using the recomendation from Army Jeep Parts for several years and all my paint has turned out great.
Painting Tips:

I believe Memphis Equip. has a fiberglass hard top that they sell for the M715, be prepared to pay big dollars for one. You might also check the for sale boards over at http://www.m715zone.com They pop up for sale there everey once and a while. If you are restoring yours though, remember that...
I was just going to post this subject after finishing painting my 10 new tire and wheels that I got for my deuce. Luckily mine are not on the truck yet which helped make it a little easier. I used the pam spray and it worked great. I made a quick cardboard cut out of the rim and layed it over...
Great, I've been waiting to see you truck done up with the seabee markings I did for you. It should turn out great and really stand out as you just don't see too many Navy marked vehicles.
As for the seabee logos, they are excact replicas of the image that Kevin posted in the seabee thread...
Unfortunately the reg #'s were not put on the data plate like on the deuces that went through rebuilds. If you could not find it on the hood when sanding, than try the tailgate. Sand slowly through the layers of paint and hopefully you'll find it. Once those numbers are lost, there is no real...
I just bought a set from acetomatoco, but I think I cleaned him out of what he had in them. By the way thanks ACE the straps look great and are excellent shape compared to the dry rotten set I have on the truck now.
The straps should bolt to the bows and then through the buckles on the canvas cover. This is what hold it on to the truck. I do know though that at speed, it will lift up the bows and make them rattle. But it does that only at greater speeds, and not at a slow parade pace.
Looking good! I also have both my 715 and the deuce cleaned up and parade ready. Great you guys just had to mention SNOW! Now I'm going to have to go back out and put the tops back on the trucks because you jinxed it.
Yep sounds good but that is also the weekend of the show in Silver Lake MI. and I will be tied up with that. http://www.davidallenracing.com/militaryshow.htm
