Alright, we are now just under 2 weeks away! Things are coming along nicely and it should be an excellent show. For those who are planning to camp out at my property, shoot me a PM and I'll send you my address and numbers so that you can mapquest it to know where to get too.
I was contacted by the Seabee's museum about making markings for a few M715s that they are restoring. So I assume that they did use some at some point, but I believe by that time period, that they were all painted od green and not haze gray.
Why not just track down a M37 hard top instead of cutting a deuce one? They will probablly cost you about the same. And if you already have the deuce top, sell it and use the money to buy the m37 top.
The US ARMY should be on the left and the registration # on the right side. Most all pics I have seen show them below the tailgate. I have seen the star in both locations, below and centered, and on the tailgate just to the right of the rib. I used the placement of the original markings on...
Re: RE: Anyone near Ft. Leonard Wood?
David, if you need any pics of an M51 inflatable chemical shelter trailer I have a very nice clean original 1968 one that is now in full operation mode. http://www.davidallenracing.com/M51.htm
Armyman, yep it should make a real nice show. It will be around the same time every year in September.
Ida, It's a shame that they are going to call you in and you'll have to miss the show. But I'm sure that you be needed to calm down the rowdies after the game.
Yep, he has all kinds of neat stuff there. I could have wandered around for hours crawling all over the stuff there if I had the time. I was on a time limit that day and had to get back home after picking up 10 95% or better tires on rims from him.
Pierre was there but didn't bring any vehicles with him. He is going to bring some of his vehicles to the Silver Lake show on Sept. 15th. I have a few pics from when I was down at his place the last time earlier this summer. His deuce tractor is painted desert tan.
Well with Clare done and out of the way it is time to start to think about heading over to the Silver Lake Show on Sept 15th. Judging by the number of people who have responed it is shaping into being a very nice sized show. I know that Citizensoilder and possibly some of the northern clan are...
Yep, with the 3 M725s and my M715 that had to be the second largest class of vehicles there behind M35 based vehicles. I did not manage to get a pic of jfnemt1ff1's super nice M725 before he pulled out to run down to Woodword.
I made it home just fine. Had a some clutch slippage on some of the bigger hills, so I had to baby it a little bit to keep from smoking it. Luckily Pierre Jalving has a new clutch and pressure plate that he's bringing me at the Silver Lake show next month. I should be able to baby the truck...
I packed most of everything I needed so that I can roll out sat. morning at 7:00. I'll be rolling east along US 10 most all the way. I'll run the back roads over from my house to Baldwin to pick up US 10 then roll east. I'm hoping to make Clare around 9:30 or so. It takes me 1hour 45 minutes...
But he is asking about painting the old 4 color pattern not the newer 3 color nato pattern so wouldn't it be the TB 43-0147 which has the 4 color MERDC in it.
