Looks like a good start. I hope to see more. Welcome to the M109 RV/Camper club.
All of our campers are pretty different, but we are pretty good at bouncing ideas off each other. Here is mine if you are looking for a few ideas: MilitaryTrucks.ca Website - M109 Military Truck RV Project
Good...
Yeah it is looking more and more like a civilian version of the truck. It may of made sense to simply alter a truck that was in mass production for the military into civilian use, rather that making something completely new.
Still a cool looking truck. Sadly it will likely rust to the ground...
Man....that just shows the type of person you are. I answered the question and since you were not happy, you degrade yourself to personal attacks. Pretty sad.
I am not mad or pissed at anything, yet for some reason you seem to be, or are trying to project it onto others.
You must be reading...
What are you talking about, giving him a break, for what? I answered his question then asked a question myself which is what SS is made for. I didn't insult or belittle him but ask why does it matter? If his question was just who else is selling trucks, that is one thing. And he got that answer...
I would suggest the same thing if you have another one available. We had a similar problem with our M35. We would either not have flashers at all, or they would all come on and stay on.
The first problem (not coming on), was a grounding problem with the flasher control box. We ran a new ground...
Likely Dave at Eastern Surplus.
But what does it really matter who is the biggest?
If you are looking for a truck or parts and you find what you need at a reasonable price, it really doesn't matter if they are the biggest or smaller dealer.
I have seen some big dealers that are horrible to...
I am not in Manitoba, but parts/support is pretty easy no matter where you are. I am in the national capital region. While I might not be all that close by, I am more than happy to help where I can.
I think you would have to paint it white not to stand out as much. Most large commercial trucks are white (standard color). I have seen some white deuces, and while I would rather see it green, it is not that bad.
Pictures are from Dave's (Eastern Surplus) website.
Hey those pictures look familiar. Looks like you got them from a good website :D
The 8.2L DD with the Allison MT-643 automatic transmission work very well in the MLVW's (Canadian M35). The thing we really love about the MLVW is that you just jump in, press the button and it starts the first...
Hi Terry.
Please post your question in the thread on my truck so that we can keep this thread on topic about cattlerepairman's truck.
You can find my thread here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/34531-m109a3-ready-roll.html
Thanks.
I found this ad in the classifieds.
The guy says it "was" a 1948 Dodge Ambulance that was professionally converted into a camper over in Europe in 1958.
The guy wants an insane $6500 for it with a blown engine. He even goes on to say that you can find a replacement engine very easily, as if...
Everyone knows the M109A3 is the best.
The only disadvantage with having an M109 is that everyone is jealous of you :D
Not that I am biased or anything ;)
Welcome to the site.
To know what size of generator you need, we would need to know what type of power requirements you have. What are you running? Are you running the truck as a communications vehicle with actual working radios, or are you running something else? Are you actually running...
A great reason for buying another truck ;)
"Honey, why did you buy ANOTHER truck??"
"Because I was missing a bolt on the first truck and this one has it!"
"But doesn't that mean the new truck will now be missing the bolt?"
"Your right!! Better buy "another" truck!!"
:D
