You have to buy new centers (or make them if you have access to a machine shop) then cut out the old center and weld in the new one. The tricky part is getting it centered correctly and just right so that the wheel turns true and is on center. The nice thing about re-centering is you can get...
you are correct.
As for the re-used u Bolt they are taller aftermaket ones to accomodatw the lift blocks and the reason I re used them is they are fairly new and I kept my front ones as the 10 bolt abs d44 are almost the same so most things interchage.
Thanks guys...it changes how the whole...
Well I finally dumped the 10 bolt crap and got myself a D44/14 bolt combo. I ended up buying a civvy blazer (minus the engine) that already had a 4" lift and my axles under it. Then I pulled the axles and u bolts and sold the rest for the same price I bought it for! Since these axles were out of...
I think you need dually front hubs and spacers in the rear. Not 100% sure but I believe the rear is 2 5/8" but someone will chime in who knows. I have a set that came with the surplus wheels I bought, but after researching it I have decided to sell them rather than do what needs to be done to...
The napa part number I gave also is the correct tank. The only difference is the mounting bracket on the top where the bolt goes in, but you can bend it to fit while you tighten it down and then it is all perfect and like it should be.
Well according to my calculations my truck should be just slightly lower geared than stock. It now has 36's and 4.10's (possibly 4.56's the owner didnt know). It shifts at 25 and then again at 35. However changing from 3.08's and 35's where 3rd started at 45 the motor sounds really loud and...
How reliable is the 700r4 going to be. I am worried about frying the auto as my previous experience with the 400 was not good (dies after 10,000 miles) but I also was new to wheeling and when I got the truck it had 35's 3.08s and not tranny cooler so...
Ok well I just finished up my d44/14 bolt FF install in the m1009. The rear now has 4.1's instead of the 3.08 stuff and I can really tell the difference. I am running 36" tires, but the motor really seems to get going at 50 and I am a little hesitant to take it up to 65 for highway driving...
Need a cap for my radiator. my current cap is a 13lbs one that has been one the truck since i got it. Tm said 15lb relief pressure on the cap. Does this mean I should get a 15lb cap when I replace it?
No the low light isn't coming on I just noticed that 3 weeks ago I replaced the overflow reservoir and filled it to the cool line and when I checked it tonight the level was about 1/2 way from cool line to empty overflow tank. The radiator was full. I knew the coolant would go down before, but...
