    Coolant Leak

I cant tell for sure but my coolant level may have dropped a bit. What does a bad head gasket look/feel like. Exhaust is clear, no bubbles when it is running with the rad cap off, starts right up, coolant looks a little rusty after it has ran a while and is green when it has sat, oil is black.

What the heck is going on now?

I am not really sure what happened but I added a new filter system and a bottle of diesel clean and the problem was solved. No more flakes:-D in the filter.

    Lights

Nope, I used a short stepup bit and the drill fit in nicely.

    Lights

Well here is how I ended up doing it. The 6" lights fit in the brush guard decently and they dont block the blackout light or the slave cable.

    Lights

Ok I just got a set of kc daylighters the 6" 130W titanium finish. Has anyone put these or similar lights on their cucv? I am looking for a way to incorporate them into the truck without making them stand out as "add on crap." Any pictures would be great

    Part number needed

So this is going to be a hard to find military specific item and it would be faster/cheaper to buy a different one and make it fit?

    Homemade trailer

I thought about doing that to a friends dump trailer to keep the battery for the hydraulic pump charged so we could dump the bed, but we ended up just using the aux power pin in his 6-pin round connector to keep the battery topped off between jobs.

    Part number needed

Does anyone have the part number for the radiator puke tank for an m1009? Autozone website says they dont have it and mine is cracked. It is a nuisance because if I get on the throttle for a day or work the engine hard the the radiator pukes out the overflow and the fluid is lost and the...

    M1009 fuel inlet hose

Hmmm...Mine has a 5/16" rubber line from the filter to the IP. It would work either way.

    cucv leak at fuel filter

Hey mine is leaking as well! Seems like all the cucv's decided to support the filter industry this fall. Built myself a setup last saturday and it is 200% better than stock. Bigger filter, more flow, 2 micron filter, and uses a turbine style inlet to to help act like a centrifuge and get the...

    mpg thread

Being able to do 70 and get 21 mpg I would say m1009.

    hard rattle on acceleration

Mine would get a rattle sound under heavy load and it turned out to be the inspection plate on the bell housing sitting too far back. This caused the flexplate balancing weight to just barely touch it as it spun and flexed under heavy load. Only did it when I hit the pedal to the floor, but...

    mpg thread

Why such a drastic change? I believe mine to be about 18 around town with 4" lift and 35's and the stock 3.08s. I haven't checked it in a while, just fill her up when she's thirsty.

    Moderators/Search Function?

Also sometimes I search and nothing comes up so I ask and later realize the question has been posted before, but I didn't use the exact right keywords to find it in the search. I have no problem helping new people who ask repeat questions, just as long as it hasn't been discussed 3 times in one...

    M1009 fuel inlet hose

    Timing Chain or Gears?

Ok, thanks for the info. I always thought they had gears, but I read tonight they had chains and that got me wondering how long before mine breaks and I need to rebuild the motor, but if 56,000 is early I am certainly not doing it before the water pump.

    Timing Chain or Gears?

The 6.2 has a timing chain not gears right? Also what is the service interval for these? My truck just hit 56,000 and is running strong.
