Dosen't the 1010 have a posi front axle? Yea, i would deffinately pull the cover off the rear and have a look. They should pull the same speed when stuck. Its nice to have all those lights for night time opp's.

Here in PA you have to get it inspected and emissions tested every year. Not just for registration. Diesel ,, anything older than 1975,, or if you have less than 5,000 miles from the previous years inspection,, and you are exempt from emissions test.

Good deal. I always go over everything before i take my truck in for state inspection. The owner of the shop complained about never making any money off of me. :-D So after years of this same thing happining, now he dosent even look at everything. He just slaps a sticker on it.

A piece of angle iron about 1"x1"x 3"long 1/8 thick with a slight bend in it would work. One hole in it to mount to the block, and one hole at the other end to slide over the stud that comes out of the end of the starter. The sizes are aprox.
