I want to thank Dangeroustyz for getting us together today. I know how challenging it can be to make it to gatherings due to family commitments, fuel cost, work, and a plethora of other commitments. We had a chance to meet, talk trucks, and share experiences.
The trip home in the rain wasn't...
Dang Clint, I was counting on seeing you there. Hope the car problems are not too serious. Duty first.
I've tracked down a minor fuel leak on Betty and its the 3/8" return line where it connects to the fuel filter, right behind the oil cooler. You know the fitting that you can't get to without...
I'm still coming. I plan on leaving the house about 10:00. That should put me there about noon, maybe a little before.
I washed and serviced the truck today. So we're ready to roll.
Man, I don't see 20 showing up. I only see 6 or 7 responding here and maybe each driver brings a Soldier B, for maybe 14 people. I'll be bringing my 11 year old son, so that's two of us.
I think I'd tell him about 12 people unless a lot more start chiming in here.
The 10th works for me. That gives me time to wash Betty and get the last of the Durhamtown mud off of her. There's still mud stuck in the rear wheels and I need to take the wheels off to get them good and clean.
I'll aim for being there at noon.
The little bit of cold weather here ended and I noticed I had sprung a couple of leaks in the fuel return line system. I managed to get it fixed by robbing some 1/4" tubing from the now unused manifold heater line. I reused the old tubing nuts but put in new 1/4" inserts and ferules. Sooner or...
I've been on the phone with Loki this evening and I think we've got him sorted out. I'm almost certain it's the air operated brake light switch. His truck looks like it was already upgraded.
Probably not as good as the CDL debate. At least there is only one set of laws to deal with on this battery charging thing! The results and potential problems really depend on how closely matched the batteries are to each other. If they are matched pretty closely, then charging them in series...
Best 24 volt battery charger???
I work with DC power plants for telecom applications. We do big 24V and -48V DC power systems all the time.
Here's a decent link regarding battery conductance, but you can Google the term for other information as well.

Best 24 volt battery charger???
The two batteries will have different charging demands. One needs a little more or less than the other. The charging rate or demand, is set by the battery that needs the most. The voltage in the circuit is the same through both batteries in series. The battery...
There's a new member / Deuce owner in New Albany that contacted me through YouTube a few days ago. He just got a Deuce and I've been trying to help him out by phone and text. I'm in Atlanta (about 5 hours away) and he could really use some help from an experienced deuce guy.
I talked him...
As far as the FMCSA (the Feds) are concerned, the laws governing commercial vehicles apply only to vehicles that are engaged in interstate commerce. Privately owned vehicles used for personal use only and not used for any commercial purpose, aren't "commercial vehicles" regardless of their size...
