When we assemble pistons at work we position the ring gaps at 120 degrees from each other for pistons with three rings,
( 12 o clock, 4 o clock, 8 o clock position ) if you have four rings I would position them 90 degrees apart (12,3,6,9 o clock) to keep the gaps as far apart from each other as...
Just a quick question, I have recently bought a geared lug wrench, if I stand on the bar which came with it will I be able to achieve the required torque to tighten the lug nuts? I weigh about 200 lbs.
There must be some mathematical equations to work this out but unfortunately I don't know it...
Hi sorry but I am away from the truck and will have to measure it when I get back from my vacation in three weeks, as I am visiting florida at the moment.
Hi here are some photos of the fuel can holders that you requested hope they help ( these are not my design as they were on the truck when i aquired it )
Hi Valence
When I purchased the truck the previous owner said that the cover was a modified 5 ton cover. For some reason the cover will not fold over the out side as you show in your picture as I think it has been cut and re stitched incorrectly. So this is just one more of those little jobs...

Thanks for your comments on my truck, I am going to try and find out some of her history when I return from a family vacation. Noticing your location we won't be far away from you as we are flying into Sanford for our vacation to Florida next weekend
Regards, Mark

Thank you for your reply NDT, So the turbo was fitted by the military as part of the clean air kit ? Just one more question, is the LDT just a LD engine with a turbo fitted or is there any other...
Hi everyone, I have been looking at a M35 that is for sale and on the engine plate it says that it is a Hercules LD-465-1C with a contract number DAEE06-68-C-0006. I have done a few searches on here but find the information a bit confusing. The information that I require is if I can date the...
Could you use one of these slide gate valves between the mushroom and filter?
I know it would only be a manual way of shutting of the air, but would be easier than pulling the mushroom off and running around looking for something to block the air intake
