We put you in charge of the So.Cal rallies at that last Camp Dirtbag, so basically it's your fault! j/k Hopefully more will start coming out to the spring and fall rallies and it will grow back to the size of those or bigger. We have plenty of room out there.
Either of you coming up on Feb 22nd for the Bad Karma Desert Trip? http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?101987-So-Cal-Bad-Karma-Campout-Training-Feb-22-24
The Bad Karma Team will definitely be there. We will be training our guys on 3:1 systems (for repelling) and having a 3 "cleanup tool" competition. All are welcome to watch or participate.
Bad Karma will be visiting the desert once again Feb 22-24 for some fun and training. Bring your MV or just yourself and have some fun. Same location as the recent get togethers, so you won't have trouble getting there.
Will add more details as available.
Will be leaving in the morning. Raining in the low desert so will take my time. Bad Karma will probably reach the AO before me, but we will all be there.
I'd much rather be able to take my M109 as well, but it doesn't look good. I'm going anyway without it because a crappy day in the desert is better than a good day at home!
Doesn't mean you can't go, just means your truck may not make it. I'm dealing with electrical issues with the 12V system in the M109 and a brake fluid leak so there is a chance I may be showing up in my POV again, but that's still better than sitting home!
Then just keep it and fix it it up. Much cheaper and more satisfying to just repair the bad areas and build it out to an RV. Very hard to find a completely clean 109 box and what you have can be repaired, **** mine was in worse shape when I started out. Keep it and repair it is the best option...
I love a good convoy (as long as there isn't a camera on my six that captures me running stop signs!) but I'm going up early Friday if not Thurs afternoon, so doubtful I can join anyone in that fun.
